"Hi," I popped into her office room.
"BEN!...look what you did?"
"Sorry, love," I have messed up a part of her glued structure, that she was building.
As I had finished my work, I could spend all the time with her.
"Hmm... Ben don't you have any work?" asked Sarah.
"I finished them all," I said smirking at her.
"Hmm..."
"I thought of help with your work,"
"Oh!!!! "Was all that you can say?" she said doubting me.
"Well, I was feeling lonely and I missed someone,"
"Ben.. we are in the office,"
"So who cares? We both work on the same projects," I said to her.
"Where is Alex?" she asked after a while.
"He had something to look into so he left,"
Alex went to find out about the catering issue and talk about a plan with the teams. Especially a security plan for the girls. I really didn't want to put more pressure on her.
I asked Markus to bring our lunch here. After lunch, we had a few team meetings. They were mostly about the progress of the work and the new projects we hope to bid on. After some debate, we selected three new projects to bid on in the coming months.
"It's going to be a busy few months ahead," said Sarah looking at the projects at hand after the others left.
"Are you feeling tired?" I asked, as she hardly complain about work. And I was worried about everything happening around her was too much for her.
"No, not that, but... I don't know.." she said looking at her hand.
I thought of going home after this, and I realized she needs a bit of relaxation. So I called Mr.Willson to bring Noah around for a dinner night out at home. In exchange, he promised to bring dinner for us.
After we got home I got Sarah to have a hot bath and have a little nap. As I didn't tell her about Noah's visit.
"Alex any news?" I called him.
"Hmm... got it,. I think someone who deals with the budgeting had meddled with this,"
"What are we going to do?"
"Tomorrow I'll have a talk with the team, but I think I have an idea who might be,"
"Ok, I came home early with Little Bud and Noah will visit with dinner,"
"That's great. Sarah seems a little stressed. All this must be overwhelming for her,"
"yes, I thought so. But with the workload I cannot take her on a holiday, at least for another three months," I said while thinking about what I should do.
"I understand, man. We'll see what we can do. Please stay with her,"
We talked for a few more minutes about the wedding preparations. They had done a lot of work and now we only have to wait for the big day. I know Alex is lucky to have a girl like Meg, by his goofy side. And they will live two homes away from us. The wedding gift for them from us.
After Noah and Mr.Willson arrived, I went to Sarah, who was fast asleep holding her fur blanket. She looked so cute and I didn't have the heart to wake her.
"Love," I stroke her cheek.
"Hmm"
"I have a surprise for you,"
"What is it?" she asked sleepily.
"If you come out you will see,"
After a few minutes she woke up and freshened up, I took her down with me.
"NOAH!!" said Sarah with glee.
"Sister," he said with a hug.
Mr.Willson and I had a talk with Dr.Lu, and he said they both being together will help them to heal fast. So we agreed to let them have some time together every week. Noah had taken a liking for painting so he comes here with his stuff to paint whatever he sees in the garden.
After we al went out, Mr.Willson said to me,
"Don't you think Sarah looks a bit tired?"
"Yes, that's why I try to be with her all the time. But she insists on working. So I let her,"
"I can feel you. I went through the same with Noah,"
We looked at them for a while.
"Ben, I forgot to tell you," I looked at him as he continued.
"Noah's reports have been coming out good,"
"That's good news," I said with a smile on my face.
"But the doctors said that this could be temporary,"
"Well, let's hope for the best, Mr.Willson,"
At the same time, Noah came to us and showed us some drawings of us. One with me and Mr.Willson talking while sitting, one with everyone together around a picnic basket. But the one he had framed was the one with Sarah, me, and a faded drawing of Dave.
"Noah, can I have this?" I asked.
"This is a gift to you and sister. I will ask my brother to give it to you when the time is right," he said smiling.
And we knew what time he was talking about. Mr.Willson looked away trying hard to hold back his tears.
"Brother, don't worry, Dave will look after me as you did all my time," and hugged his brother.
We all got together and had dinner while watching a movie, that Noah had bought. And they left after the movie was over.
I don't know why, but suddenly it started to rain and the weather started to be gloomy. I couldn't sleep, so I hugged Sarah tight and stayed awake in bed with her.
The next morning, while Alex was also with us, I got a call,
"Good Morning, Mr.Willson,"
"Ben, Noah wants to see Sarah,"
With that we rushed to the hospital, Noah had given a statement - rather video evidence about the attack - after calling Paul last night. At the same time, he collapsed and was bought to the hospital. His last wish had been to see Sarah one last time.
"Sister, you have to be happy, because brother Dave and I will be looking after you,"
That was all he said before going into a coma. I just felt as if he knew about his condition so he acted up as he was getting better to cheer Mr.Willson.
"Ben," I hugged Sarah close, while Alex tried to calm down Mr.Willson, who was broken into pieces.
A few hours later, the doctor came out,
"Doctor,"
"Mr.Willson, his vitals are stable., but waking up or not will be his choice. Son try talking to him, so he knows he has someone waiting for him,"
