Alex took Mr.WIllson to his penthouse so he can keep an eye on him, while I took Sarah home and let her rest, with a few medicine tablets the doctor had prescribed for her.
"Alex, how is he?"
"Hmm. I just now sent him to bed. It must be pretty hard on him,"
"I was happy we were there,"
"Yes, he didn't have anyone else at home. His family had gone for a holiday for a few months and he had stayed behind to take care of the work,"
"Ok... I will stay at home today, but we will have to monitor our suspect,"
"I have already asked Jason to look into it,"
I went and looked at her, she was asleep like an angel. I lay next to her and thought of what I should do next. Maybe the best thing I can do is to divert her mind to other things like her drawings and creating models.
A knock on the door woke me up.
"Coming," and I looked at her still fast asleep. And I opened the door,
"Sir, we made lunch and bought you some, "said Markus giving me two tiffin tins.
"Thank you. Did you look for me for anything?"
"No sir. but Jason said he will come in the evening as he wants to get some documents signed,"
"Ok,"
I woke her and fed her the lunch bought by Markus, and the effects of the medicine were still there, which made her fall asleep soon.
"Sir," said Jason who came about in the evening with some files and details.
"Come into the office, Jason,"
"Can you please ask Markus and Officer Paul to come as well?" he asked making me look at him.
"Why do you need Paul?"
"There is something I want all of you to know," he said, looking a bit worried.
I asked Paul to pay us a visit as requested by Jason. While I made some tea for us, Jason and Markus went on talking about something.
"Hi, guys," said Paul coming in with another office.
"Come into my office," I said and poured tea for everyone with some cookies baked by Meg.
"Jason, what was it that you wanted to talk to us about?" asked Paul.
"Well, first I want you all to take a look at these videos,"
The videos ranged from a few weeks back to yesterday. There were a few people gathered around and discussing something, more like planning. While one of those faces looked familiar.
"Wait isn't it Struss??" asked Markus.
"Hmmm... yes..." said Jason.
"What is he doing with them?" I asked.
"Well, sir, they are loan sharks and Struss had taken a loan from their boss but he couldn't pay them on time," said Jason.
"Ok,"
"So he manipulated the event catering invoice," explained Jason.
I looked at him confused.
"If you compare the person on the right of the first video, and this person, from Ms.Wang's press conference, they both look the same. if this is not the same person, they must be identical twins,"
"So, you mean the gang that Struss meddled with is a part of Venom's team?" asked Paul.
"Yes. Can you see the tattoos, they are all similar,"
"What else did you find out?"
"They have been threatening him to expose what he did unless he do what they want," said Jason.
"WHAT!!!" said Markus.
"The scary part is they want him to spy on sir and madam,"
We all looked clueless. What was happening, what have we done to deserve so much? I felt so down.
"How did you find out all this?" asked Paul.
Jason just smiled, "Well I caught him one day after work at the office and took him to have some drinks with me. I knew he didn't have a lot of tolerance for it. So after two fills, he spilled it out, "
We laughed when he acted out how Stuss was when he was drunk. But the next day Jason had a heart-to-heart talk with him and told him all about what he said and assured him of his safety.
"Hmm, Jason, why don't we send him to take care of the hotel project, they need an assistant," I asked.
"I think that is a good idea too," said Paul.
"Hmm, but sir, there is a problem,"
"What is it?" I asked him.
"Struss's mother is in hospital, so he has to be nearby her,"
"What's wrong with her?"
"I am not really sure," said Jason.
"Fins out more and let me know. If Venom's team knows we know about this, Struss will be in trouble,"
After talking for a while Jason left, while Paul,
"We had been following Ms.Wang,"
"Ok,"
"And I think the place she visits often, must be the place where Liam is hidden,"
"You mean a secret base camp?"
"hmm.. could be,"
"So where is it?"
"About twenty-five kilometers away from the city, there is a hotel. Apart from the business, they must have an underground basement," said Paul.
"Can't we get in?" asked Markus.
"No, only people they know personally are allowed to stay there,"
"SO what are we going to?" was all I had to ask, as i wanted to get to the bottom of this and finish this all for once and get back on our peaceful lives.
