Somewhere in Living Spring Hospital, in room 36B, in the male ward, a man lay sprawled up in his bed. He had been awake for more than an hour tonight. Sleep had departed from his eyes and instead, his eyes were filled with horror and nightmares from something that had happened to him just a week ago.
It had not started tonight. Ever since he returned, he did not feel the same way. He felt suddenly different, and every day, he tried to keep his sanity but the more he tried, the more he felt it slipping away.
The man struggled to rise to his feet. He only managed to get up and sit on his bed. Then, he stared blankly into the empty space before him. He was alone in the room now. The nurse on duty had finished her shift and had left over an hour ago.
