"N___No, she's not with me," She stammered. She ran her hand through her hair, pushing it to the back. "Have you tried calling her?"
"Yes," The steady voice responded. "That too proved abortive."
Rachel stood still, stunned by what she had just heard.
"Wait a minute," She said holding her breath. "You mean Isabella's number is not reachable."
"Yes. I've tried reaching her over a thousand times with no luck," There was a pause on the line. "Actually, if you do get to reach her, please, tell her to be here as soon as she can. She can't miss the treatments because it might not work if we don't practice it exactly the way it was put together theoretically."
Rachel nodded, getting the point.
"You know what? I think there's a mix-up here. I'll just call Isabella and tell her to quit whatever game she's playing and show up at your office right this minute. Give me five minutes, please."
"Sure."
The line disconnected.
