At about some minutes past 2 pm, Detective Miller drove into the parameters that had been under surveillance for over a month now. It was lined by thick forests on both sides.
He had driven for almost two miles without spotting a single house. He was grateful for one thing. The remoteness of this place had made it nearly impossible for any civilian to be affected by what was going on there.
Upon his arrival at the scene, he was met with the wailing of police sirens, a reminder that he was not there alone. Also, a thick dark cloud loomed over the area.
