"Honey, I'm home!" The masculine voice boomed. It belonged to Mr. Gary Winthrop. He'd just returned from one of his business trips and as always, he looked forward to seeing his daughters, to finding out how they were doing while he was gone.
The house was quiet. Too quiet. He looked around the empty room, his eyes absorbing the void in it. Where were the kids? He wondered. Today was Vanessa's sixteenth birthday and he'd promised to personally take her to the Jurassic park. That was kind of a big deal to Vanessa. So, he wondered where the hell she'd gone to.
Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, he saw a quick movement behind the curtains and the sound of giggling which he knew so well. His lips spread into a broad smile.
"Come on out now, little lady. I know you're in there."
His words were met with silence. He had a knowing smile on his face as he walked down to the curtains and held them together, trapping Vanessa inside.
