Detective Hanson stared at the tall figure of the man standing before him. He had to look up to be able to see the man face to face. This was not something he was used to. The man bore a shocked expression on his face, a reaction which he did not understand yet.
Detective Hanson assessed his looks and concluded that he had to be a staff in Vanessa Winthrop's mansion. That was the only explanation for his presence in the house. But that was not all. He had to find out whether or not this man had any useful information for him.
"Hello," He said. "Detective Robert Hanson speaking. Can I know you?"
The man stiffened before him, an expression that Detective Hanson did not miss.
"I'm Ryan Russet, the head chef here."
