GUINEVERE
"Here," Elder Derek passed a teacup to both of us. "Drink this tea, it'll bring you on a spiritual journey back to the Moon Goddess' past, and it'll hopefully answer all of your questions."
I gave Damien and questioning look; he shrugged his shoulders as if you say why not. I glanced at the tea in the cup again; feeling that it was safe, I took a large gulp swallowing the entirety of the contents in the cup. Suddenly the world started twisting and turning. The lights started to fade; I could hear Damien in the distance calling my name. I couldn't respond to him. I closed my eyes, fearing that I'd become sick all over. Just as soon as the world started moving, it stopped.
I slowly opened my eyes and in front of me was an older man holding a much younger female. I felt like I was intruding on this special moment between a father and his daughter. The young woman pulled away from her father, and that's when I noticed the crescent moon symbol on her forehead. I was in the presence of the moon goddess. Elder Derek's tea had worked.
MOON GODDESS
"Luna," my father called out to me, holding me as I sobbed uncontrollably, "I know this isn't the life you dreamed of, but this is the life you were born into."
My father stroked my hair, hugging me tightly into him.
"Daddy," I cried, "I love him. Please save him. Please." I begged.
"Oh, Luna," my father pulled away from me. "I'll save him, but only if you remain here in the Heavens. You must marry Jupiter and rule by his side."
"I can't marry Jupiter. I won't. I don't love him, Daddy."
"You'll learn to love him, Luna. It was written in the stars that you and Jupiter would marry and that you'd be the strongest couple in the Heavens, conquering everything in your path."
"The stars are wrong." My dad pulled away from me and slapped me across the face, the anger evident in his.
"How dare you, child. How dare you defy what's written in the stars. You will marry Jupiter. If you don't, Wolfe will die."
I looked at my father in shock. He'd never struck me before.
"Yes, Father," I said, turning my back to him and walking away.

My stomach begins to churn again as I am propelled forward into the moon goddess' past; this time, when the world stops spinning, I'm witnessing a scene unfold between Luna and what appears to be her mother on Lina's wedding day.
MOON GODDESS
My mom and I were sitting in the chapel; I wore; a deep red mermaid-style wedding dress and a lace veil traveling down my face.
"Momma, do I have to do this?" I asked my mom one last time, hoping she'd rescue me from this nightmare.
"Yes, Luna," my mom sighed at me, "This marriage was meant to be. It was written in the stars."
I cringed at those all too familiar words. How can something so wrong be written in the stars? My father walked me down the aisle a few hours later and handed me to the War God, Jupiter. We completed the ceremony and then proceeded to do the blood oath, which would seal us together for eternity. Jupiter grabbed my arm and used his sword to make a slash in my palm. I took my ruby clip out of my hair and used it to cut into Jupiter's palm. We grasped each other's palms while my father tied a white ribbon around us. When the knot was finished, the ribbon was soaked red from our blood. My father then chanted the language of the stars, and then the ribbon ignited in flames while Jupiter and I continued to grasp each other's palms. Once the ribbon was burnt to a crisp, Jupiter and I released each other's hands and looked at our palms, and I grimaced. The wound had healed, and the stars had accepted our marriage.
There was a small soirée to celebrate the Union of Jupiter and me. Everyone was there. So many people came up and congratulated us. I couldn't handle the celebration any longer. My heart yearned for Wolfe, and I was beginning to feel ill. I fled from the soirée and ran until I came upon the watching pool, where I looked down on Earth, asking the pool to show me Wolfe. Wolfe was still lying in the hospital bed, but his eyes had started to flutter open, and his beautiful nurse smiled down at him.
"So you've finally decided to wake up?" She asked, her voice sounding like a beautiful melody.
"Yes," Wolfe said. "I heard someone calling me, beckoning me to awake, so I opened my eyes, and much to my surprise, I am greeted by the sight of the most beautiful woman."
My heart hurt at his words, but I couldn't help but smile. My Wolfe was okay, and he was still ever the charmer.
I heard steps approaching me, and I quickly turned around.
"You left the party; someone said you looked ill, so I decided to come and look for you," Jupiter said. "But of course, you're fine, and I find you on our wedding night, pining over your lost love," Jupiter snarled.
I could see the rage spitting off his skin.
"What does some weak human have that I don't?" Jupiter snarled.
I took a step away from him. He followed me, grabbing my arm and pulling me closer.
"Answer me," he yelled, tightening his grip on my arm.
"Stop it, Jupiter." I cried, "you're hurting me."
"You're my wife!" Jupiter screamed at me furiously, "I forbid you from seeing him again."
"You don't control me, Jupiter," I spat at him. "I may be your wife, but I am not your slave."
A murderous look passed through Jupiter's eyes before he grabbed my face in his hands and smashed his lips against mine. He forced his tongue into my mouth, trying to deepen the kiss. I tried to reject his advances, but he kept a firm grip on me; I bit him, not knowing what else to do. Jupiter tore his mouth away from mine.
"You bitch." He snarled, grabbing both of my hands in one of his and shoving me up against the wall behind the watching pool. "You will allow me to kiss you and to have my way with you, wife if you refuse. I will bring down the wrath of war on your precious humans."
I shuddered against Jupiter's grip, knowing that he spoke the truth. The only way I could continue to protect Wolfe was to give myself to him entirely.
Jupiter leaned in once again and placed a forceful kiss on my lips. He pushed his tongue against my lips, wanting entrance; I opened my mouth, allowing him to enter. His kiss became rougher as he released my hands and let his own roam against my body as he groped at my chest. I felt tears falling down my face as he tore off my wedding dress. I felt his fingers enter inside me, causing me to cry out. I felt like my body was betraying me. I could feel my ecstasy building with each intrusive thrust inside me, causing me to be I'll with my body's reaction to him. Even though I mentally wanted to reject him, he still brought my traitorous body pleasure.
Jupiter pulled his mouth away from mine and growled, "you're so wet for me, little princess. You might not want me, but your body aches for me." He whispered as he plunged his cock into me.
I cried out, the tears falling rapidly down my face. Jupiter ignored me as he continued to pump into me. My body ignored me as it continued to embrace the feeling of Jupiter inside me. I felt my body start to orgasm. Jupiter followed behind me quickly, spilling his seed into me. He withdrew himself from my body.
"Clean yourself up." He snarled at me, walking away. I tried to fix my dress as well as I could before my knees gave out, and I fell, clutching myself and crying silently. This is how my mother found me.
"Luna, are you okay?" My mother asked, rushing toward me.
I didn't answer her, but she must've noticed my state of dishevelment. She wrapped me in her arms.
"Oh Luna, I am so sorry." my mother cried while holding me in her arms. "I didn't want this for you."
I steeled my emotions, willing myself to be strong before pulling myself out of my mother's embrace.
"It's fine, Mother. As you and father have said on countless occasions, it was written in the stars. Now can you tell me this, was my rape also written in the stars?" I asked as I stood up.
My mother stared at me, not knowing what to say. I turned my back to her and walked away back to my room.
Entering my room, I noticed my bags were packed. I quickly stripped off my wedding gown and went to my shower. Turning my hot water on full blast, completely ignoring the cold water valve as I embraced the way the water felt as if it was burning the sin of Jupiter off of my skin. I stayed in the shower, scrubbing myself until my skin felt raw. Once I got out of the shower, I slipped on a white dress that flowed loosely against my skin. I skim my hands through my wet hair, combing through my curls.
I looked in my mirror, satisfied with my appearance; I steeled my emotions and left my room. I returned to the soirée and took my place by Jupiter's side. When the night ended, and we had said our goodbyes to the last guest, I turned to Jupiter.
I looked at him calmly, staring directly into his eyes. "I'll accept our marriage, under these conditions. I will live by myself on the moon. Once a year I will come down and visit you. On that day, we will preform our martial duties. I will bare your children and I will not take another lover. You can have however many you please."
Jupiter smiled at me. "And if I disagree with these conditions."
"Then I will kill myself," I replied without hesitation in my voice.
Jupiter grimaced. He knew that he would never be able to remarry if I killed myself, nor would he have any heirs. When the stars accepted our Union, we were married for eternity. I was the only one able to carry on Jupiter's line. If I died, Jupiter would forever be alone. Jupiter hesitated for a moment before finally agreeing.
I turned away quickly and left. I felt sick once again as I grabbed my belongings from my room and left to live out my life in solidarity on the moon.
