[Hunter's POV]
"Are you just going to keep quiet or....." Lillian trailed off awkwardly as she shifted her weight on her other foot, staring at me curiously. Tilting my head, I nodded towards the empty sofa seat in front of me, gesturing her to take a seat.
"Why did you agree to this engagement?" I leaned in, trying to understand the thoughts racing around her mind, as her eyes darted from her lap then to me and then back to her lap.
"Why did you agree it?" She finally fired back, clenching her fists while trying not to maintain any eye-contact with me.
What the hell are you hiding?
"Do you not love Violet anymore? Why are you doing this to her?" She prodded further, her voice raising an octave while I leaned back in my seat, watching her calmly.
"Why do you care so much about someone you just met?" She opened her mouth but no words came out, so I continued, "And if you care so much, why did you agree?"
