[Hunter's POV]
I am sorry.
Brushing back her hair, I planted a kiss on her forehead, before carefully removing her fingers from around my wrist. I swear I will get everything back to normal, just trust me a bit more. My eyes swept around the room, all my things were packed and there was no evidence left that someone actually lived here.
"Did you really have to go this far?" Chase muttered from behind as I closed the door quietly.
"What?" I eyed him cautiously as he took a step towards me, clenching his jaw.
"I know what you're doing." My eyes locked with his, and I gritted my teeth as he raised his brow. This little fucker.
"I have no idea what you are talking about." I lied through my teeth as I tried to walk past him but he blocked my way, crossing his arms adamantly.
"You think something fishy is going on, don't you? Between them both. Ic-" I slapped my hand on his mouth, dragging him to the other side of the hallway as he struggled against me.
