[Asher's POV]
"Are you coming to the party tonight?"
I lifted my head to peek a look at Jake, my new roommate. "What party?"
"The seniors are holding it for freshmen. We should go out of respect for our seniors." He chuckled, which told me he wanted to go for all other reasons than that.
I shrugged, "Yeah, I could come. I am not doing anything anyway."
"Are you expecting a call? You keep looking at your phone." He jumped off the table and put his arm around me, "Got a girlfriend back home?"
I pursed my lips, shaking my head, "No, just my older brother. He always calls by this time."
