"What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked getting worried. Jack hasnt said a word since I had woken up.
"Your eyes, they are different." He said not breaking eye contact. I looked at him like he grew two heads.
"What do you mean, 'My eyes are different'?"I asked. I didnt feel any different.
"I mean, your eyes are no longer brown, they are electric blue?" He said in more of a question.
- The "Dream"-
I sat up, panting for air, like I did everytime waking up in these woods. I could see Jack watching me intently. I looked by the normal tree Diana and mother always came from behind, "Hello my sweet child." Diana said. I smiled at her and ran to my mother wrapping my arms around her. I glanced over my shoulder at Jack and he had a concerned look on his face.
"I see you followed my riddle. I hope he helped you figure it out. You chose wisely. Your future holds a lot in store for you. It will not be easy. You will run into a lot of road blocks that you have to step back and use your mind. Listen to yourself. Never doubt your strength. You are so much stronger and smarter than you think, My Dear." Diana said.
"So you finally accepted him?" my mom had asked looking past my shoulder at Jack. I turned to look at him still staring at me trying to figure something out.
"Yeah i did. And I felt a lot better afterwards. I feel completely different. I feel a lot stronger. I feel like I could carry the world and not break a sweat." I said looking back at my mom.
"Thats great my dear. Just remeber to trust him. You guys will make a great team. You guys will be unbeatable as long as you stick by eachothers side. Nothing can tear you apart. It will not be easy in the beginning, but believe me, after you get the hang of things, everything will fall into place." my mother said as she cupped my cheeks in her hands.
I nodded, "I seen dad today." I said, changing the subject completely.
Both my mothers and Dianas faces turned cold, "You must stay away from him. He is not a good person. He is a cold blooded monster." My mother said coldly.
"So what he said was true. He did cause the accident." I said fighting tears that wanted to spill. my mom slowly nodded her head answering my question.
Diana cleared her throat after shaking her head out of her trance. "We must go My Dear. He's waiting for you." she said smiling at Jack.
I looked at Jack and he never took his eyes off of me, but a look of understanding was on his face. "I love you momma. Until we meet again." I said hugging her and holding out my pinky finger for her to wrap her finger around it.
"One last thing before we go, this horse will be with you forever. So take care of her. You completed your goal, so you have awakened her. Her name is Esme." I said as she pointed behind me.
I looked behind me to see a beautiful red and white paint mare standing right behind me. I gasped at the site of her. She looks so beautiful. I have never seen a horse like her before. Her coloring was gorgeous. Esme fit her perfectly. I reached out my hand not expecting to feel her, but to my surprise she placed her muzzle in the palm of my hand.
I stood up, running my hand down her body as she followed close behind me. I layed down in the spot i woke up in, and Esme stood over me as she slowly disappeared.
-End of Dream-
I gasped as I replayed the dream in my head, "Ezme!" I yelled.
He looked at me confused, "Who is Ezme?" he asked. "What happened?"
I looked up at Jack, "It's the horse I saw in my dreams. I don't know, but I think something happened. Im not sure though." I said looking at nothing in particular.
He looks deep in thought before shaking his head, "maybe our pack doctor can figure it out?" he had asked.
I nodded slightly, curious myself. "Yeah that's a good idea." I said. He grabbed my hand and started leading me towards the pack doctor.
As we walked further out of the woods, I started feeling dizzy. I started getting wobbly, so I gripped onto him, causing him to look down, "are you ok?" he asked.
I shook my head before I collapsed to the ground, darkness soon consumed me.
-Logans POV-
Before Willow hit the ground, I had caught her and picked her up bridle style, picking up my pace, rushing to the Pack Doctor. I had already mind linked Dr. Bill to be ready.
Finally getting to the hospital, he led us to the room where she would be looked after. I laid her down and got out of the way for Dr. Bill to do his thing.
After what felt like a lifetime of him checking over Willow, he finally walked over to me, "Alpha, can you tell me what happened before she had fainted?"
I looked at him confused on why he would ask, but i nodded and told him everything. I told him about the dream, I told him about the eye color change, everything.
As I was talking, he listened intently, nodding as I spoke. After I finished talking, he looks at her, "Alpha, it's very rare, actually unknown, but I cant be sure. One thing I am sure of, you have to mark her and complete the mating process, or our Luna, won't live to see the outside world again. She's just going to continue getting worse until eventually there is nothing left of her. Whatever is happening, it will LITERALLY eat her alive." he concludes.
I let out a deep growl, not being able to control my anger, seeing Dr. Bill flinch a little but quickly masking it with no emotion. "Get out." I ordered nodding my head towards the door.
He quickly scurried off, leaving me alone in my thoughts. She isn't ready to complete the process. I really hope she wakes up soon so I can discuss this. I let out a loud sigh, running my hands through my hair, fighting to keep control of Rine.
