Sleep soon consumed after I snuggled deeper into Jack's chest. I felt safe in his arms. I never wanted to leave.
-dream-
I shot up from the same place I always do in the woods. But this time I was hysterically crying. I couldn't see through the tears running down my face.
I whipped around and bolted to where I knew momma and Diana would be, "oh sweet child." My mom whispered as she wrapped her arms around me.
"Momma I'm scared! I don't know what to do! I'm not ready to complete the process!" I yelled through the pain I felt burning through my chest.
"Baby girl. You will make the right decision. It may not be now, or even in the next few months, but I guarantee you will make a decision. Everything will fall into place as it has from the beginning. As I said before, never doubt yourself. You're a strong woman, and very smart too. If you listen to your gut, everything will be ok." My mother was reassured.
I looked up feeling a presence behind me. I slowly turned to see Ezme walking up to me. I quickly stood up and ran up to her and tightly wrapped my arms around her neck.

I held on tight like my life depended on it, causing the water works to flow all over again. I couldn't keep it together. I couldn't control my emotions. I was scared.
"Ezme will always be here to help you wherever she can. She's strong. And very hard minded. As I said, use her wisely and everything will be ok." Diana spoke up.
"What do you mean 'use her wisely'? I can't see her in reality." I questioned.
"You will in do time. But you need to listen to Dr. Bill. He's on the right path to finding what and who you are. Do not disappoint." She said leaving me in my thoughts.
"But I'm not ready!" I finally spoke up. Repeating what I said earlier.
"Believe me when I say, you will be. Just follow your instincts. Don't listen to what anyone else says. Your instincts will never stear you wrong." Diana spoke.
"Your powers have grown since the last time we spoke. Tell me about it. What's different?" Diana asked.
"I-I don't know. I've been asleep for 3 days. But I was told my eyes are now electric blue. I can see in the dark, I can hear things I shouldn't be able to hear, everything that touches me intensifies. I smell things differently. Everything is more potent now. Some smells burn. The cold no longer bothers me either." I explain, trying to remember everything.
Diana nods her head as I listed everything off, "I definitely agree with Bill then. You must complete the process. The way your powers are improving at this rate, your body will not be able to handle it." She said.
I nodded knowing the story already. I could already feel the toll it was taking on my body. Everyday I get a little more weak. I took a deep, shaky breath, "I know. He said I have roughly 5 months left before it takes over.
She nodded, "yes dear. That is correct. But the longer you wait, the longer it will take to gain your strength back." Diana said.
"I just need time Diana. It's my innocence we are talking about her. He hasn't even taken me out yet. But it doesn't help I've been asleep almost since the day I met him." I said.
"Sweet child, everything will be ok. As Diana said before, if you trust your instincts, you will be alright. Don't fight them either. If you fight your instincts, it will just make things worse. Your body will tell you when you are ready." My mother said.
I took a deep breath, letting all their words sink in. I stood up, knowing it was almost time for them to leave, "I love you momma, until we meet again," I held up my pinky finger as I usually do, and she wraps hers around it. I looked over at Diana, " And thank you Diana. For everything." I said, and she smiled.
"We will meet again soon my dear." She said as her and my mother slowly disappeared.
-End of Dream-
I opened my eyes slowly to adjust to the sun coming though the windows. I couldn't stop the hiss that came out of my mouth, causing Jack to stir.
"What's wrong princess?" He asked in a husky voice. I felt a light shiver go down my spine at the sound of him.
"It burns." I said softly. I felt him Sit up next to me and wrap an arm around my waist to comfort me.
He made small circles on my lower back, "It'll be ok. You will get used to it." He whispered.
I took a deep breath, trying to open my eyes a little at a time.
It took a couple minutes, but my eyes finally opened, and surprisingly didn't burn.
"There ya go." He said, then kissed my cheek lightly.
I looked over at him, and he stared into my eyes. Mesmerized, "I so need to get used to them." He said with a slight chuckle.
I felt my cheeks heat up, and a smile crossed my face. I sat there for a little while thinking before speaking up, "Jack, I'm not ready to complete the mating process. I need time to think, and I want to get to know both you AND Rine. I want to meet the pack. I want to know they are going to accept me as their Luna."
He listened intently to every word I said. "That's perfectly ok. Not like you have to make the decision. And if you want more time with Rine, so be it. But just be warned, he is extremely possessive over you."
I nodded my head in understanding, "When can I meet him?"
