Ryoko woke up scared and saw Yuto. He was so near her face that she could even hear his breath.
" You scared me for death" said Ryoko nervous while Yuto was just looking at her and wasn't saying nothing.
His beautiful hazek eyes had black circle around them and he looked so tired.
His hair was messy and he didn't look as energitic as he were last night.
" Hey are you okay" asked Ryoko him
Yuto didn't say nothing at first but just responded with a gentil smile.
" I'm okay no need to worry. I just stay all night awake and usually sleep at daylight but I guess I should change my routine from yoday and on" said Yuto
" You stayed all night awake" asked Ryoko
" Yeah you know I'm a countdowner. Usually our job starts at night because that the time demons are awake but for special event we are active even in daylight" said Yuto
Rumours around always said that his family was hiding something and that was the reason why they never had parties in their houses or even participated in them.
" You look a little nervous is ot because you'll be part of my team" said Ryoko.
Yuto looked at her and didn't say nothing.
For some moments none of them was talking until Yuto broke the ice.
" Well you're right. Coundowners don't have many interactions with other creatures this is why we mostly appear cold and scary in people's eyes.
This is my first time doing a mission with a parter cause usually I do them by my own" said Yuto
"Well we're partners now so no need to stress for unimportant things. I bet my friends will love you" said Ryoko but she wasn't sure herself how her team would react with adding a new member in their team.
" Anyways let's eat breakfast and then go to your house" said Yuto.
Ryoko washed her teath, eat her breakfast and dressed up.
After they finished everything it was time to go to Ryoko's house.
Yuto chosed the best hourse-drawn carriage and they go inside it.
" I bet your brother and father will kill you" said Yuto and laughed
" Why" asked Ryoko
" Because you weren't home last night. I guess they are worried a lot about you right now" said Yuto.
Ryoko looked and him surprised and started laughing.
" What's funny" said Yuto confused.
" You said my father and.. brother are worried about me. This is the funniest joke I have ever heard in my life hahahahaaa" said Ryoko while she was trying so bad to hold her laugh.
" Well... every father worries about his daughter right? Maybe he can act rough but your brother must be worried about you" said Yuto
" I wished it was like that but it isn't. My father is busier taking care for a perfect little "angel" which isn't even his real daughter than taking care for me. Menwhile my brother adores his little sister Desdemona that much that he doesn't care about me well to be correct he never cared about me" said Ryoko and smiled to Yuto.
A smile.. a smile that was used so many times to hide her saddens, disappointment, fear and stress.
A smile that could be really pretty outside but inside it hurted as hell.
That smile was the mask Ryoko have put her whole life in her face because after all those things she's still... fine.
" Wow if I would be even one minute later my mum would kill me.
I guess you have so much freedom and it is cool" said Yuto trying to make her feel better.
" Freedom... are you sure I'm that free" said Ryoko to Yuto with a funny voice.
"To have a demon inside you 24/7 wasn't that much of a freedom.
" Anyways I think your mum is overreacting. One time I came home really late and my brother and father didn't say anything.
Funny part was that a had a big bruse in my knee and they didn't became suspicious about nothing.
Only when twin's mother called my dad he understood what had happened and became furious" said Ryoko
" Twin's mother? Who are these twins" said Yuto
" They are some anoying brats, Desdemona's friends. They started to mock me about how I was antisocial, a freak and home- schooled, funny isn't it?
Then i had enough and decided to teach them a lesson but their mum wasn't very happy at all" saud Ryoko
" What kind of lesson" said Yuto curious
"It's all fun and game until my threat becomes real. Sadly they found it out on the hard way: leaving them bald for their entire life" said Ryoko calmly with a smirk on her face.
" What? Girl you're dangerous" said Yuto surprised and laughed.
He learned another new thing about Ryoko: she can be pretty dangerous when she wants even if she isn't under her demon's influence.

" We're finally here, home sweet home" said Ryoko to Yuto.
After a long journey they finally arrived at Ryoko's house.
Yuto was amazed how large and pretty her house was.
His favorite place was garden cause it was full of beautiful flowers.
Ryoko entered in her house as if nothing had happened at all at started to give Yuto a home tour.
" And the last one is my room" said Ryoko and opened her bedroom's door in a dramatic way.
" Ryoko you're finally here"
Her father came to Ryoko and hugged her tight.
Ryoko made a Pikachu face while her father wasn't letting her go.
" Okay what is happening here" said Ryoko after her dad finished hugging her.
" We were worried about you, do you know how scared we were that you were gone? Good thing is that we finally found you" said her dad
"We?" said Ryoko with a suspicious tone of voice.
She looked around her room but there was no one except her father waiting for her.
" Well your brother is sleeping but he was really worried about you. Meanwhile Desdemona and your mother are busy with some important stuff" said Ryoko's father.
Ryoko frowed her eyebrows and her mouth couldn't help to make a ironic smirk.
" I have told you a hundred times: She's not my MOTHER and she'll NEVER be" said Ryoko angry.
" Honey it's not time to talk about this, look after one week you'll have an important meeting with the emperor about the competition stuff. Here's your invitation" said her father and gave it to her
Ryoko opened it and read it as fast as she could.
She grined and put it in her pocket
" I got it this was why you were so worried about me" said Ryoko and showed her invitation in her father's face.
" No i was really worried about you. I'm serious Ryoko" said father with a serious tone of voice.
" Whatever if you don't have nothing else to tell me I want to stay with Yuto alone" said Ryoko
Her father looked at Ryokos back and saw a tall handsome guy behind her.
Yuto came forward and gave Ryokos dad his hand.
" Hello mr. Hinode. My name is Yuto
and I'm from family Hirai"
Ryokos dad face from normal went blank in the split of second.
" You. .. you are Lorelai's son" said Ryoko's dad and his voice teembeled .
" Yeah I'm her son" said Yuto and laughed nervously
" Okay... I'm leaving you two alone. Oh wait Ryoko, Bellatrix and Amaris are waiting for you in the salon" said Ryokos dad and left.
" They are here?! Why didn't you tell me before?!" said Ryoko
" Who are they" said Yuto
Ryoko explained Yuto about her teammates and that Bellatrix and Amaris were her best friends.
" Now we should go it's time to meet them" said Ryoko and went with Yuto to the garden.
Meanwhile Beatrux and Amaris wrre drinking tea together while chatting with each othe.r
" I hope Ryoko is already home. We have been here almost all day but still we dont have a clue were she's. Plus Axel situatio..." said Amaris
" Girl don't worry. Ryoko is a smart girl probably she disappeared because dhe met her Prince charming at the party" said Beatrix and winked at Amaris while eating a biscuit.
" Girl I don't know what to say. I know Ryoko is enough mature to take care for herself but that night was super important to her. Why would she dissapiare like that in such a important moment? Maybe she was mad at Desdemona ... " said Amaris with a low voice.
Beatrix frowed her eyebrows and bited her lip.
" I can't stand that brat. All the night she was trying to make my bestie mad and the worst of all is how she sticked around Axel. Ugh she was so freaking happy when Axel danced with her poor thing!
I don't want her to destroy my AMAZING SHIP" said Beatrix with a loud voice.
" Girl you still are mad why Axel stayed with her please calm down! I don't see nothing bad here even if Desdemona is a pick-me-girl she doesn't bother us at least. I don't care about their called "moment" I only care how Ryoko is!" saud Amaris
" Don't worry Ari I'm fine"
Beatrix and Amaris turned their head and saw Ryoko coming with a handsome guy.
Anaris smiled haply while Beatrix made a smirk as she was about to say " I told you".
" Her price charming is so handsome he's a worthy opponent for Axel" said Beatrix optimistic.
Amaris gave her a strict look and hided her face embarrassed.
" Oh gosh this girl never fails to embarrass me" though Amaris while she was laughing.
Ryoko came to them and the fanatic trio made a big huge.
" We were so worried abou you don't you ever dare that again?!" said Amaris mad.
" You're so cute when you're mad but I guess it was worth her missing" said Beatrix and smirked while she was looking at Yuto.
He made a embarrassed laugh while Ryoko started to give Beatrix a deadly look.
They would never fale to make her embarrassed.
" So won't you tell us your name Price charming" said Beatrix after they finished their hug
" I'm Yuto from Hirai family. Nice to meet you" said him and gave them a friendly smile
Amaris made a worried face and looked at Ryoko and she gave her a sign as she was about to say " Don't worry, everything is fine".
" Bad boy vibe I like it" said Beatrix
" You never fale to embarrass me don't you" said Ryoko with a low tone of voice.
" Besties goals sis" said Beatrix and smiled
" Anyways I think it's time to meet Yuto more but one is missing.. Axel.
Where is he" said Ryoko
"About Axel well J don't know how to say this but.."
" But what Trix" said Ryoko worried
" He involved in a huge fight" said Beatrix with a low voice
" WHAT" said Ryoko worried
" I should have stayed at ball it's my fault" though Ryoko guilty and felt a pain in her chest she had never felt before.
" Tell me where Axel is" said Ryoko with a serious voice.
If there was a person that she would protect with all cost it was Axel.
If anything bad happened to him she wouldn't reckon with it.
" Please, please be okay Lex" though Ryoko worried while she was running to his room..
