Chapter 5 - Damien

Arriving within the room in less than a few minutes, his eyes widened as he saw the physician being grabbed by the throat and held in mid-air by Akai.

"You! What are you doing?!" He yelled and Akai turned his head to look at him, a cruel fury flashing in his eyes. "Who are you people?" he questioned and Dorian took a deep breath, then began walking towards him with no fear in his eyes.

"We are your benefactors, and it's so awful you're repaying us in this manner," he said and Akai's brows pinched in bewilderment. "My benefactor? What do you mean?" he inquired and Dorian glanced at him, then at the physician, signaling him to let him down.

Unwilling to do so, he scowled at Dorian and his grasp on the physician's neck tightened. "If you don't answer my question this instant, I will snap his head off!" He threatened, and sudden anger which rarely occurs within Dorian erupted, and he gazed at him in fury. "You! Let him go this instant!" he yelled and Akai's expression clouded.

"Who do you think you are to yell at me like that? Answer my question or else, you will watch him die!" He said in a frigid tone and Dorian took a long breath and nodded, knowing he was serious, from just the killing intent he could see in his eyes.

"Fine. Like I said before, we are your benefactors. We came upon you on the way here, unconscious and wounded, so I saved you and brought you back here. The person you're trying to kill is the physician called to offer you treatment." He explained with utter displeasure in his tone and Reagan's eyes blinked rapidly before he slowly glanced at Hazel and then at the Physician.

His grasp on his neck eased, and he gradually let go, turning to face Dorian. "If really you did save me, then I owe you an apology and a thank you." he said and Dorian nodded at him.

"May I ask where I am?" He inquired and Dorian turned to face the king who stood behind them. "We're at the king's palace in Dreybar kingdom," he replied and Akai slowly nodded before looking at Hazel and the physician. "I apologize for my behavior," he took a slight bow and a wide smile ensued on Hazel's face. "It's okay. We understand." she said and Akai nodded at her before returning his gaze to Dorian.

Dorian turned around and dismissed everyone in the room, including her sister and the physician.

They all obeyed and left the room leaving the two alone.

Dorian turned to face him as soon as the door was closed, his hands behind his back. "What is your name?" He asked and Akai stared at him without uttering a word. It was as though he was contemplating whether to speak or not.

"Who are you?" Instead of responding, he posed a question to Dorian and taken aback by this, Dorian looked at him with a bit of annoyance on his face, but knowing it was more than natural for him to ask who he was, he took a deep breath.

"I am prince Dorian. The crown prince of the Tecren Empire and the girl who just left is my little sister."He introduced himself and Akai's eyes instantly blinked hastily.

The Tecren Empire... Aren't they the Empire at odds with the Ducrya Empire, where he came from? Why would the crown of the Tecren empire save a citizen of a country which they are at odds with? Does this imply that he is currently unaware that he is from the Ducrya empire?

His brows crinkled deeply and he raised his head to look at Dorian with his eyes squeezed into a thin line. Perhaps...it could be that he saved him to take him back to their country as a slave? As he pondered, suspicion swelled in his heart, and he put his hands behind his back.

"May I inquire as to why you rescued me? Is there a reason behind it?" He questioned and a little taken aback by the question, Dorian looked at him, puzzled. "Um...no, there's no reason behind me saving you. I only saved you because you survived what could have killed any other person in an instant. So you can say, I saved you because I thought you were deserving of being saved and also because of your strength and willpower." He replied and Akai slowly nodded his head.

Although he can't find any lies in his eyes, he still won't trust him so easily.

"You still haven't told me your name and where you're from." Dorian reminded him, and he raised his golden colored eyes to look at him. "My name is... Damien.
