"Damien..." Dorian repeated and slowly nodded his head, finding the name quite unique and special. "It's very nice to meet you, Damien. Where are you from and how did you end up on the roadside in such a state?" he asked, and Damien arched his brow at him. "May I get treatment first, before answering your question?" He inquired and Dorian furiously nodded his head. "Of course, of course!" He turned around and walked towards the door, then ordered one of the royal guards to call the physician in.
Three minutes hadn't passed since he gave his order and the door was pushed open, the physician walking in with a bit of a nervous expression on his face.
Damien glanced at him and his brow furrowed on seeing him shaking while walking towards him. "You can relax. I won't hurt you." He replied, and startled, the physician found himself almost dropping the box in his hand.
He trembled towards Damien, whom Dorian gestured to have a seat on the padded, expensive-looking chair, which he did.
The physician squatted down to his level and Damien took his shirt off, exposing the horrid wound, which was still bleeding, but not as much as it was before.
The physician looked at the wound and his eyes couldn't help but blink vigorously in deep shock. That was a deep, huge wound he was seeing, and what was shocking him the most was the fact that the man before him was still so agile despite carrying such a deep wound.
His brows wrinkled in deep confusion, and he turned to look at Dorian. "Your highness, a bath is needed. Some elixir will be added to it and his wound will be better once he baths in it." he said, and Dorian slowly nodded before calling for the few maids standing in front of the door of his chamber.
The three maids responded immediately and stood in front of him with their heads lowered.
"Prepare a hot bath for me quickly." He ordered, and they left, returning back in ten minutes to report to him that the bath was ready.
He nodded at them and turned to look at the physician. "It's ready."
The physician nodded and stood up on his feet. He walked towards the not too big room where the bath was prepared and stepped in.
He strolled towards the red-colored tub and squatted down, then opened the box and grabbed a round bottle with a blue elixir in it. He uncocked its wooden cover and poured six droplets into the water, which instantly changed the rosy smell to one that Dorian couldn't comprehend.
Damien stared at the tub and slowly walked towards it. He gazed at the water and unhurriedly inhaled the scent of the water. "It's not too bad," he said, and Dorian slightly nodded before he and the physician walked out, leaving him alone in the small room.
Damien glanced down at his wound and took his clothes off before stepping into the tub. His eyes shut tightly in pain as the water touched his wound. He threw his head back and clenched his hands, enduring the pain that he was currently going through.
'Father, I am sorry that I failed to protect you. You did warn me about that day, but I still failed to protect you.' He apologized in his heart, and a drop of tears slipped from his eyes. 'I am sorry.' His eyes trembled as he felt extremely hurt and guilty in his heart.
If he had been much quicker, he would have been able to save his father. Although he took the second spear that was coming for me, he still failed to protect him because his father was already struck with a spear even before he arrived, so the one he was struck with was the second one that was coming for his father.
Revenge! He would make them pay. Even if it means sacrificing his life, he will make the emperor of the Ducryan empire pay for the death of his father! He will exact vengeance on them, even if it takes him twenty years. He won't let his father die in vain!
Every member of the Ducrya empire's royal family became his enemy the moment they slaughtered his family, and they will all pay for his family's death. He will slaughter them in a much more painful way. That day will come.
A sinister smile ensued on his face, and he took a long deep breath, then relaxed in the tub.
