Juval had heard from Flo that Juri discreetly retired to her room after the races claiming that she lost her appetite. So, he had a feeling she would be hungry and had Ruel get some food from the kitchen packed in a picnic basket for them.
Ruel didn't ask any questions he just did as he was told. There was no way Ruel could have packed this bag as fancy as the display of the dishes were, he must have asked Riva for help, her creativity shown in the artistry of the dishes.
He opened a dish, and it was a few roasted oysters, another strawberries and chocolates, it wasn't lost on Juval. So many dishes to choose from but his favorite was the pulled barbeque pork, fresh baked bread, Cole slaw and roasted corn on the cob.
There was also steam fish and okra, fried chicken with mashed potatoes and thick, creamy gravy. Juri was having a warm time choosing between dishes, so he gave her a little bit of everything.
