Chapter 63 - Resentment

Just as the man was about to toss them overboard strong hand pulled them back from off the rail and sent her and the murder crashing to the ground. The murderous villain flung her aside and got to his feet.

He pulled out a knife prepared to fight his new adversary. Her savior definitely wasn't human for the force that he flung them with really hurt on impact. Ari was pretty sure she was going to have black and blue bruises for some time.

With her hands and feet still tied and secured to the weights, she could not move. She felt like a lowly worm, trying to decide whether to get a better view of the fight or crawl out of the way.

She felt the roll of the ferry beneath her as it glided along the waters, she wasn't out of danger just yet. For now the two were at a standoff, watching each other and looking for an opening to strike.
