Chapter 132 - Futile

"What kind of a brother would drug his own sister?" Princess Lucinda asked feebly.

Prince Derrick felt personally attacked but knew it was a reasonable question given the circumstances. What in the world was he going to do about his younger sister? Quite frankly, he wished she would become someone else's problem.

Especially now that she was willing to do self harm he could admit to himself that perhaps her case was out of his control. He argued with his parents about having her moved to asylum for the mentally ill but his parents would not hear it.

Princess Lucinda needed 24/7 care and attention that neither he nor his aging parents could deal with her mood swings and deterioration. Out of sight, out of mind was no longer working. Right now Lucinda had an obsession with the merfolk prince, things were spiraling out of control and Derrick needed to act fast before Lucinda recovered enough to do something foolish.
