Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Mia had remained silent for about five minutes to the delight of Hackim who understood that the internet had decided.

-So Miss Kelhani? Have you nothing more to say ? He asked, moving towards a more frightened than ever Mia, her hands shoved nonchalantly into the pockets of her pants, obviously cut from an overpriced fabric.

-Your Honor… Uh… No… Your Highness. How should I address you? Mr King? Your Majesty?

Hackim would have laughed if the apparent despair of the stranger had not awakened in him a feeling he thought was dead: empathy. And that pissed him off more than anything.

-Come on ! Why so many ways? Where did your earlier courage and bravery go? Does my title intimidate you?

Mia remained silent. Indeed, it was not so much the title of the man that intimidated him but the man himself and the fact that the death penalty is still in force in his country. Besides, from the comments she had briefly skimmed, he was a man of influence and feared by everyone: even the American authorities.

-What ? You don't talk anymore? Hackim asked again, annoyed by the silence of the young woman who was becoming a little too long.

- Uh mister your hon… your majesty or whatever you call yourself, I want to live a long time. I still have dreams so I don't want to take the risk of giving free rein to my speech at the risk of seeing my neck detached from my head. She finally said, provoking a small smile from Hackim accompanied by a raised eyebrow.

So this is what the fierce stranger feared: death. Hackim never killed women and children. He might be the worst monster the earth has ever borne, he never did and won't in the future.

-I don't kill women! Finally, except those who represent a threat to my country. He added, staring into her eyes to capture every bit of her reaction. And he was satisfied! Along with the flicker of fear and the slight jump she got, she instinctively took a step back, gently touching his neck.

-Ah and it's supposed to reassure me that's it!

-I… A shrill ringing interrupted Hackim in his speech and he hated it. He turned his head furiously in every direction to determine the origin of the ringing in order to turn it off as the young woman ran towards what seemed to be her room from which she returned soon and without warning the price by the hand and pulled him with all his might towards the exit of his apartment.

-Good sir, His Majesty, it's not that I want to die, but I see myself having to ask you kindly to leave. I'm late for work. It was a great pleasure and an honor to meet you. Glad not to see you again.Lets go

Before he had time to react to this nth affront from the woman, she had already slammed the door in his face to the general surprise of his guards witnessing the scene from their position near his car.

Twice in two days he had been left speechless by the same woman. He was definitely not going to sit there idly. It was therefore with his head full of ideas to make this stranger regret his audacity that he got into his car to reach his hotel.
