"What!?" Agatha exclaimed.
Everyone looks at her because of her reaction.
"I-I mean what? Why haven't I thought of that before? " And then she smiled at me.
I look at everyone one by one. Are they serious? Kleir is all smiles, while Anasia smiles very weirdly for me. Bryce is nodding his head while Agatha is smiling… nervously.
Well, I guess someone does not like the idea either, aside from me here.
"I don't think so." I refused.
"Why~?" Kleir asked, like a child.
"I'm not interested." That's all I have to say.
First of all, I can't dance, and just by seeing how they practice and what they've been doing for the past week ever since I got here, I can't do that.
"Oh... that's too bad then, I would really be glad if we were on the same team. "You are pretty, tall, but a little muscular for a cheerdancer. " Kleir shyly said.
"It's fine, I can't dance." I said, then drink the remaining water I have.

We stayed there for a couple of minutes, just to rest after eating, and then we decided to leave. Bryce said he would be going since he had a sister to pick up and Kleir, Agatha, and Anasia planned to go to a facial shop to pamper themselves. Kleir invited me, but I refused this time. I've never done facials, and I'm sure I'd bore myself to death if I did.
"Bye Eloise! See you! " Kleir waved as she bid me goodbye.
"Bye!" Anasia said.
Agatha just nodded at me. The same with Bryce. Before they got into Bryce's car and drove away, leaving me here in the parking lot alone.
The sky is tinted with mixed pink, purple, and grey hues as the sunset started to get really deep.
I remained there standing, thinking of what to do next.
Should I go home or stay here for a moment and just stroll around the mall to find something interesting.
Come to think of it, I did not buy anything for myself today... Should I?
With that, I started walking back to the mall and started strolling around, hoping to find something I wanted to buy. I'm here anyway, might as well spend this time actually shopping.
From wardrobe shops to shoes, I did not find anything that interests me. I'm currently on the fourth floor of the mall, and I can see how dark the sky is already from the glass windows overlooking the rooftop.
Well, maybe that's it for today.
I turned my back and was starting to walk down to the escalator when something caught my attention. In this buzzling city and the busy stalls that surround me, there is one stall that seems to be out of place.
'Bookstore.'
I have no idea, but my feet started dragging me towards there. I don't even like reading that much.
Sigh.
Fine I'll just look here one last time... Maybe I could find something I want here.
The moment I entered the bookstore, it seemed that I had entered a different dimension.
Despite the almost deafening silence, you can hear the pages of the book being turned, the scratching of pens, and the smell of stationery will welcome you.
'This is nice.'
I started scanning through the bookshelves.
Romance books.
Historical Novels
Fantasy
There are numerous other genres of fictional novels on display, but none of them interest me, and I've never read one in my life.
…I was not allowed to.
I touched the cover of the book I was holding.
'The Blade and the Flower.'
The book's title. Based on the description, it was a romance novel.
Romance…
not interested.
[Thud]
[Thud]
I was about to slip the book back to where I got it from when a loud thud followed by a pained voice echoed behind my back.
"Ahh- aah"
I turned to look at what it was and saw a guy who is picking up his things that were scattered on the floor.
I was just staring at him picking things up at a fast pace. I turned around, about to mind my own business, when I felt hot stares behind me. I glanced back and saw how bad the other shoppers were looking at me. They keep looking at me and this man on the ground alternatively.
Sigh. Fine.
I crouched down, without realizing I was still holding the book I had been holding earlier, so to be able to help him, I just put the book on the ground to free my hands and started to pick up the things without looking at the man. However, I heard him suddenly say-
"E-Eloise?" I look at him, perplexed as to how this stranger knows my name, only to be greeted by a pair of eyes that resemble the summer seas.
"Killian."
