Chapter 4 - Anwynne

The sun was rising. We were ready to start training, when cool air came up.

I had to learn the basics of the sword, a full day of swinging the sword upside down, but also how to connect to the sword's power source. The next day I would learn the proper movements for fighting, and after that we would proceed with controlling my powers.

"Master Ahsoka, this is unbearable. I can not stand like this," I muttered.

"Shh, just try to focus, feel your core, feel your man," Ahsoka said.

I tried to feel the core. I felt a purple core, that's right, IT WAS PURPLE, that was my favorite colour in my former world.

"My core is purple Master, I can feel it, it's strong, really strong."

" I see, this will be interesting research," Ahsoka whispered to herself.

"Can I ask you something, Master?" I asked.

"Shoot."

"You said that people need to balance their cores because otherwise they die, what I want to ask is at what age does a person need to balance the force?"

"Hmm, that's a common question, from the age of ten, when a child turns ten, they have to start training. I know this is so nonplussed to you but can I ask something too?"

"Yeah, of course."

"You are from another world, right?" Ahsoka questioned.

"Ah, yeah, how did you understand that?" I asked.

"Hmm, you did not know the basics of this world, so I figured it out. Anyway, this is a big conversation, we will negotiate it another time, now focus on your saber."

I was trying to connect with the sword while the mana inside me overflowed. The edge of the sword edge started changing from bright orange to purple, while the other parts turned black. Finally, after a whole day, I had done it.

"Excellent, H- oh yes, have you decided on a name yet?"

"I'd like the name Anwynne," I articulated.

"Hm, excellent Anwynne, you have bonded with the sword, now it's all yours."

"Finally, I am so tired and I am really hungry," I said as I wiped my sweat off.

"Okay, let us go to a local restaurant then."

We headed into town where there was a reputable market with all kinds of food, clothing, and medicine.

Ahsoka suggested a really good restaurant with traditional recipes. We sat there and we were ready to eat.

"So, Master, what colour is your core?" I asked while eating.

"Hmm, mine is blue, it represents calm, trust and wisdom," Ahsoka explained.

"Can the colour of a core change?"

"Well that's a good question, I'll give an example, if you have a light colour it means you have a good heart and have done good deeds like you. But if you start to change as a person and do bad deeds or kill someone, then yes, your colour changes." Ahsoka explained.

"I see, but why is mine purple?"

"Probably because you are very powerful, I feel your mana is very strong, but you should learn to control it first. Also because of your wisdom, creativity, loyalty, and because you want to be an independent person. But the other reason is simply that you broke Minerva's and Jeanne's cores, so the power that the cores contained probably merged with yours, to wit the white one, and abracadabra we have that colour."

"I have now become nervous , I must familiarise myself with my powers as soon as possible, and then I will overthrow the dictatorship," I said.

"You say that so easily, but it will be difficult. There is not even a resistance team we can trust, we citizens of Zivia have no rights at all." Ahsoka articulated.

"And who is the little bastard running this country?" I asked.

"Oh, I don't even know, I am just a librarian who likes to do research, that's all."

"Haha, you seem lazy, but you must be really strong." I averred.

"Well, I have not used my powers in a long time, to be exact, the last time I used them was before the current empire took over the country."

"Were you a member of a team or something like that?" I asked.

"Well, before the Empire took over the country, there were the Knights of the Sun. We were a strong team, we ruled the land, but then the dark days came and we lost our freedom." Ahsoka explained.

"Do you even know the reason for the dictatorship? Why did they do it?"

"I have no information, only that one day they broke into the city and looted everything in their path," Ahsoka said.

"Well, I made a decision, like you said, I am the new hope, which means I am going to be the hero and unmask the truth about everything." I blubbered while holding my sword.

"Hahaha, okay hero, but first you should finish your training."

"Oooh, alright then, let us get started."

After we finished eating, we headed to the mountains for some peace and quiet. Only the chirping of birds could be heard; nothing else, that would help me accumulate my mana.

"We will start with a basic technique, try to conglomerate a sphere from your natural mana," Ahsoka explained.

"Οkay and how do I do that exactly?"

"Just push, literally push, and it will come out," Ahsoka muttered.

I had no choice but to push, but I overdid it a bit, with the result that I destroyed a whole damn mountain in front of me with a single blust"

Ahsoka seemed disappointed.

"When I said bump, I meant a slight bump...." Ahsoka whispered.

"Whoopsie, sorry," I said, grabbing my head.

"Oh, never mind, just try again, but do not overdo it this time."

I took a deep breath and focused on my hands. Suddenly a spark began to fly and the more force I applied, the bigger it got. I opened my eyes and saw a purple ball floating on my hands.

"HELL YEAH, on the second try" I shouted.

"Dumbass, keep it up, it's not stabilised well, look at it." Ahsoka clarified.

I turned around, and indeed the sphere was shaking. I kept trying and trying, but it took me one hundred and sixty-five times to stabilize the sphere.

"Finally you managed to do it, now let's have a practical fight between you and me."

"Ha, apprentice versus master, this is going to be fun."
