Chapter 5 - Checkmate!

I drew my sword and stood ready to fight. My master was also ready as she drew her fancy sword from her blue case.

She started with a quick attack that I just managed to block with my sword, and after that I attempted to land a shot, but in vain, she quickly moved behind me and dropped me to the ground.

"You are reckless, be careful," Ahsoka pointed out.

I tried to focus on her movements, but as hard as I tried, I could not.

Ahsoka kept hitting me with repeated shots. I couldn't deflect any of these. I felt like my body was flexible, but I was not sure if I should use that flexibility.

I decided to do a somersault in the air, and that's what I did. I spun in the air and managed to land a shot at Ahsoka with one quick movement.

"Wow, impressive." Ahsoka said in surprise.

I kept trying to hit her; my agility was also increasing, so it was now easy for me to anticipate Ahsoka's movements.

In the blink of an eye, I slammed her into the ground, but she tried to deflect my sword with her sword .

After a minute, I remembered something, a technique from a cartoon I liked watching. I swung my sword as high as I could and began to repeatedly slash at Ahsoka's sword .

Ahsoka seemed tired, and soon she would give up.

"You are a strong nut, huh?" She said as she applied her sword in order to push me away.

I was ready to fall, but I decided to kick her legs, and that's what I did. She fell to the ground and I was ready to take the victory from her.

"Ha, you are down and I am up and now I am going to throw your sword and get the victory," I said.

"As I said, you are too inattentive, you should be careful," Ahsoka articulated, and managed to snatch the sword from my hand.

After a minute, she knocked me to the ground with a self-defense technique.

"And now I think you have lost," Ahsoka declared.

"Tch, fine you won."

"You still have a lot of things to learn, but for your first time, you did pretty well. Your agility, especially, is impressive," Ahsoka noted.

"Anyway, let's call it a day, I want to sleep," I said.

"Haha, someone's pissed, hey, let's talk for a bit."

"I'm fine, what do you want?"

"I want to know more about your former world," Ahsoka averred.

"Oh, I don't know if I want to talk about that," I said.

"Oh, it's okay, I'm not trying to push you, I just wanted to gather some information."

"N-no, if it helps you, I'll do it, it's fine."

We sat around the campfire and I was ready to tell about my previous world. After all, I wanted to help Ahsoka. But in return, she'd tell me something of her exploits with the Knights.

"Well, your world was full of buildings, am I right?" Ahsoka asked.

"Yeah, it had a lot of buildings, roads, it was a much more technologically developed world overall." I said.

"T-technologically you said? Interesting, I'll keep that in mind. Go ahead, tell more."

"Lots of people, crowds, cars, it was chaos," I said.

"Cars, huh? Hmm, okay, I took what I wanted, thanks!"

"What, there's a lot more to tell."

"That's enough. We should go home anyway," Ahsoka averred and started walking toward the house.

Night was falling and it was really chilly. I was thinking about the notes Ahsoka had taken. What was she trying to learn? Is she a good person or a bad person? Can I trust her? A lot of thoughts were going through my head.

"What am I thinking, she's literally my master, I can trust her," I whispered to myself.

The next morning we went to the local market to buy some ingredients to cook. I was excited to see the local products. I thought they'd be delicious.

"What am I eating, that's gross," I said.

"Well, the products aren't the best here, because of the dictatorship, only the nobles have the right to buy quality products. Us normal citizens only buy the inferior ones." Ahsoka explained.

"This sucks, let's go for training, I want to end this damn crap," I said aggressively as I opened the door to get out. but standing outside was a girl with blonde hair and bright blue eyes that lit up my whole face; she was so pretty I couldn't stop staring at her.

"H-hey?" The girl said.

"Ohh, Anwynne, this is Sophia, she's like a nephew to me," Ahsoka exclaimed.

"I brought these flowers for you, I picked them up from the garden, hihi," Sophia said with a smile.

She was like an angel. I hadn't seen such a beautiful girl in a year. The other one was Kaguya in my former world.

I knew I was a female now, but my habit of liking girls was the same.

"I'll will take my leave then, goodbye Ahsoka and... Anwynne," Sophia said, and made her way back to her house.

I was like a statue. I couldn't concentrate at all. I was blinded by her beauty.

"Um, are you okay?" Ahsoka questioned.

"Ahh, I'm fine, let's go to training like I said."

We started training again, and this time I was far better than last time. I managed to hit Ahsoka several times.

I felt much more comfortable with my movements, and combined with my agility, I was unstoppable. Ahsoka was having a hard time with me.

I went down hard and with a final slam, I took the victory.

"Ha, look who won, congratulations Anwynne," Ahsoka said, smiling.

"Ha, of course I won, I'm getting better and better. I'll overthrow the dictatorship and bring freedom to this country," I said as I raised my sword.

"Haha, okay hero. But first you should fini-"

"MY TRAINING, I KNOW" I shouted.

"I am glad you understand, now I want to tell you something," Ahsoka said with a serious look.

"And what is that?"

"It has to do with your situation, the truth is that I would tell you soon, but I think that even now is good"

"Okay? Tell me."

"You are not the only one..." Ahsoka was about to tell me something, but was interrupted by Sophia's screaming.

"The city is on fire, AHSOKA!" Sophia screamed.

Ahsoka and I ran as fast as we could into the city, and indeed the scenery was tragic.
