ACE POV:
I sat and waited for Becca to return.
I was done packing.
"I was finally going home" I soliloquized.
"I would meet my friends once again".
I wondered how many lessons I had missed at the Academy.
I thought about the cauldez.
He probably would be safe here, and set free later on.
I let my gaze rest upon the cupboard.
It was broken by the sides.
I thought of how I would have repaired it easily.
"If only I knew how to use my powers".
I then remembered the secret passage Sarah talked about.
I wanted to probe it's existence but one part of me refused.
'Becca will soon be here' I said.
'The feast is gonna take sometime' I countered.
'It's not your house. Have some manners'.
'You'll be really quick'.
After some internal debates, my curiosity got the better part of me.
**********
The door looked like a wall.
Hard to find, but I was in anyway.
It was like a maze inside.
"Easy to get lost around here".
I kept walking, just following my instincts.
I got to a room where the door was sealed with strong chains.
I touched the door.
A force flung me to the wall.
I got up, groaning in pains.
I was curious to know what was in it.
As I touched the door again, I was thrown aside yet again.
I heard a low growl.
This heightened my curiosity even more.
"Are you trying to be a fool?".
I turned around to see who was talking to me.
Nobody was there.
It then hit me; this is traditionally the part in a thriller where the monster in the box talks to it's rescuer.
I walked closer to the door.
I heard a low growl.
"Open that door by any chance and you'll be sorry you ever came here".
I looked sideways but found nothing.
"Hello? Anybody there?".
Silence.
"Probably just a silly thought".
"Don't you dare call me a silly thought!".
I was beginning to get scared.
"Is this really happening?".
I tried to calm myself.
I took 3 deep breaths to help me relax.
As I opened my eyes, I saw a figurine.
I jumped backwards.
"Who are you?".
"So you can see me, finally".
It started to move. It came out from the dark.
It was a man!
He wore a cloak that covered him from head to toe.
A hood covered his face.
He had a staff, made of beautifully twisted wood, oak probably.
He looked rather colonial.
"You're a man".
"Yes I am not".
"What do you mean?".
He removed the hood.
I couldn't recognize his face.
"Nice costume" I chuckled.
"You call my finely-tanned sheep wool a costume?".
"I'm really disappointed. You're Sebastian's son. Should have chosen a lizard instead".
"How do you know my father?".
I was beginning to get wary.
"I have a message for you, pureblood. Redein sent me here".
"Redein, like the God of Light. Like Godan's right hand man; Redein?".
"Who else, dumbo?".
"Wow, I am really honoured to...!".
"This message comes with great urgency".
"Wait, if Redein sent you to me, that will make you an....!".
"No, idiot. Not an emissary".
"Who are you then?".
I raised up my head in shock over his answer.
"Merlin!".
