WILLIS POV:
I was worried about Jane. She had left for about nearly a day from her grandparents'.
She really is hell bent on finding Ace.
"Honey!".
I was shocked for a moment, but managed to put on my calm face.
"Hey. You scared me".
"I'm sorry".
"What happened? You're back early from the human world".
"I found something else".
"Something else? I don't understand".
"Come with me".
She waved her hands and a portal opened.
I looked at my wife. She really was talented and powerful.
Remembering the past made me grateful for our present, more so, the future.
I shoved all that aside and braced up for a new information.
We entered into her secret lab in the Muggles'.
I saw many people hitting away at their computers.
I smiled.
They were still here. Same as before.
"Come with me" she said.
They all became aware of our presence.
They greeted us cordially.
We entered into her own office.
I looked around. It was more disorderly than I remembered.
I never knew my wife to be so.
"Sorry. Forgive the mess".
"Hey. It's okay. I don't mind".
She snapped her fingers and mumbled some words.
Soon, everywhere became orderly.
"Zainab!" she called.
Zainab was her trusted assistant.
Rescued from Africa from a fear-stricken mob, she has been here by my wife's side ever since.
A chocolate-complexioned lady ran into the room holding some files and a tab.
She stumbled and almost fell face-first on the ground, if not for me.
"Hey, chill out. She's not gonna eat you".
"Sorry sir".
She seemed a little embarrassed.
Realising it, I reassured her.
"Hey, it's okay. It's just a mistake".
"Yes sir" she said and adjusted her glasses.
We both looked at my wife. She was somewhat amused but managed to look indifferent.
I then took the time to stare behind her.
A lot of pictures were on the wall, pinned with a lot of threads connecting most of them.
It was like they were cracking the most crooked case in history.
Well, it seemed so, considering the manner in which she summoned me.
"What's this?".
"Wrong question. Rather, who is this?".
"What do you mean?".
She snapped her fingers and mumbled something.
Everything became cinematic.
"Look at this picture. Do you recognize it?".
I looked at it. I remembered immediately.
"Yes. It's Swift. When he broke out from the ground in dramatic fashion".
"Yes. But what we didn't see is this!".
The holographic picture zoomed in.
I saw a symbol. I bowed immediately.
"It's the Heavenly talisman. Of course, he has it. He's Godan's bird".
"Of course. But look at this".
Another picture appeared.
"Faraway in the North pole, this happened".
A clip played out.
People played on ice. Everywhere was fun.
Soon, ice cracks. People run helter-skelter for refuge. The ground bursts open. Clip ends.
"Just a... strange case of an earthquake and global warming combined".
"So, I thought for two weeks until this".
She chanted a spell.
Soon, the picture got clearer and something appeared in it.
I saw scales come out of the ground.
"What is that?".
"This is the only part of the picture I could see".
"You could see? But you are very powerful, even more than me".
"Yes, but this is different. We're dealing with something different altogether".
"Scales? Which creature is that?".
"We don't know. It could be anything".
"Zainab looked into it. I mean the scales. It is unlikely of any creature in the Wizarding world".
"So what are you saying?".
"Creatures of this kind are very rare".
"And certainly not created either".
"We're either dealing with a new creature or...!".
"...Or an ancient one!".
We all turned around to the direction of the voice.
It was ACE!!!!
