ACE POV:
I looked around at the house. I was going to leave this world to protect it.
I watched Mom as she brought out her luggage. She came close and hugged me.
"Don't worry Ace. It's going to be fine".
"Take care of yourself Mom".
"I will. Go make me proud".
"Have you booked your flight tickets?".
"No, I'll book it in the hotel".
"You know you can't travel on record".
"He's right, you know. We don't yet know who we are up against fully. So we better not take chances". It was Helen.
She just walked in from her house.
"What do you suppose I do now?".
"We'll open a portal for you. We can't compromise your safety".
"That's alright".
She walked up to me. She held my face gently and kissed my forehead. She looked at me with love in her eyes.
It was palpable between us. It was visible that neither of us wanted to go but we couldn't stay either.
"I love you son. Go make me proud".
"Take care of yourself, Mum. I can't risk losing you too".
"I'll be fine honey. I promise".
"We've got to go now. Willis please make sure that Queen arrives safely". It was Helen.
She cast a spell and opened a portal. She urged us to enter. It was first Shola, then Jane.
I took a last look at the house.
I looked as Mom and Willis took off to Germany.
I heaved a sigh. I entered the portal.
IN THE WIZARDING WORLD
JANE POV:
The portal opened at a corner of a street.
It was different than I thought. It was as busy as every popular street in Dallas. People moving up and down the walkways. I expected more magnificence but it looked very normal.
"Not what I expected" I heard Ace say.
"Yeah, me too. I expected something more...., magical".
"Now, children. The Wizarding world is not much different from the Muggle-world".
"We were expecting something more magical".
"This is just a busy part of the town. Wait till you see the other parts".
Just then, we cornered into a left.
I gazed around in shock. It was magnificent to behold. I was even more than I imagined. People walking around with magical creatures looking more grand than the former. Magic was being used to create beauty and wonder.
It was just like where we came from was not at all part of the Wizarding world.
"Wow" we all chorused.
"Exactly my first word when I arrived here with my mother". It was Helen.
"Children, welcome to Divars!".
"It's..., it's..., beautiful" I said as I ogled the wonders my eyes beheld.
We walked for sometime and moved right. We entered into a beautiful street paved with flowers. They were all beautiful but quite different from anything I ever knew.
"They're magical species" Mom offered as she saw me looking at them.
We came to a magnificent gate. Mom knocked on the gate.
"My lady. You're back". A goblin opened the gates.
We moved back in surprise, except Mom.
"Hello, Geev, it's been a while. How do you do?".
"As gracious as you, my lady".
"Oh you flatter me. May we come in?".
"Oh course, my lady. Of course".
We entered into the palace. It was more than magnificent!
"Where are we, Mom?".
"It's your grandfather's house".
"Where are the others?".
"Tending to the house, my lady".
"Are the lords in?".
"No my lady. They went for a party".
"As usual".
"Hello Jane, Ace & Shola. Nice to meet you". It was Geev.
"How did you know our names?".
"I'm a goblin. I naturally do. It's one of my powers".
"It's creepy". It was Ace.
"I would rather you say 'awesome', Ace".
"Geev, show them to their rooms please".
"As you wish, my lady".
It accompanied us. We moved past what seemed like a stable.
"What's in there?".
"Oh. It's your grandparents' familiars".
"Wow".
"Don't worry. Just wait until you get one. I'm sure you'll get a more magnificent creature".
"I like you. You're nice".
"I like you too, Master Shola".
"I still think you're creepy".
"And so are you, Master Ace".
"Well then. To your rooms, children".
He led us down the hallway past many other goblins. He led us to the end. It had 3 rooms next to each other.
"Well, then. Seems my work here is done. See you during dinner".
He snapped his fingers and he disappeared.
"Where did he go. I told you he was creepy?".
"Just forget it, Ace. Let's retire for the night".
HOFFER POV:
I walked into the house. It was empty. My men searched round.
"Boss, it's empty".
"Madam isn't going to like this" I said.
I picked up my phone and dialled a number.
"Boss, it's empty".
"They escaped? How did they know we were coming?".
"I don't know, Boss".
"It's fine. Pull back".
"Ok boss".
I signalled to my men and we moved out. We entered into the vehicles and drove off.
