Chapter 45 - Chapter 45 Winds getting rough

I always read those phrases, as you sow so shall you reap and another one is when something meant to be happen in your life then either this way or that way you will become a part of it (destiny I guess). Though in both of these phrases I found one connection that is, usually consequences are negative, which is quite stressful but most unique thing is, that such consequences remain unpredictable to us. However, with these thoughts I left the house after getting ready for the school, as I am waiting for the the cab now, I start noticing that wind is bit chilly today and it is blowing a bit stronger today, I think winter is coming soon.

After an hour plus thirty minutes I reached school, there I directly go for the football practice and in five minutes I join my other team mates for warm up session. As per the order of the coach we start our jogging set which is three kilometer in in twenty minutes, honestly, I am getting tired and exhausted that too in the beginning the only, though I keep jogging in the slow speed. I may have jogged for some 300 meters but I fell down abruptly and getting my knee hurt which start bleeding, seeing this I limp towards where my bag is kept to take my handkerchief out.

Once getting hanky in my hand, I walk towards the water tap and here I make my hanky wet, then I clean my wound which is hurting so much because of inflammation plus plain in my knee bone. However, as the blood got clean I wrap it with my wet hanky only, assuming that coldness probably will ease the pain and after doing this I go back and join the game, in which the major practice is going on now. Though its getting difficult for me to even stand straight because of the pain so, all I am doing right now is limping around most of the time.

Soon practice got over, we all move towards the changing room, seeing me limping my friends and team mates give me sympathetic look, which I really hate. However, ignoring all this I tried to change my clothes but except t-shirt I am unable to wear my jeans because it is tight plus I am not able to stand straight on my left leg as pain is so much brutal so, I just leave for my class in short & t-shirt only.

I reached the class, sit in the seat which is in extreme corner because I just want to keep my leg straight. By the end of the class I have decided it would be better if I reach home early today but I am nervous too because my family hates when girls wear such types of clothes and roam outside of the house, if they see me like this coming home they will get angry but I can't sit whole day in the school like this. Hence, having no choice I book my cab and leave the school premises.

It take me around one hour plus twenty minutes, I came out of the cab and hesitantly open the house door, entering inside by limping only. As soon as I enter in the living room, my first encounter happen with my Aunt and granny, they turn and look at me,

Granny: (Rude and anger filled voice) What kind of clothes are you wearing and why coming here like this?

Aunt: (Raising voice and sternly) Don't you have any shame, coming like this?

Before I could say anything or they both could say, I heard my mother voice who is coming in my direction only,

Mother: (Concerned filled voice) What happen to your knee my kid?

Siya: (Tiredly) I fell down while running because of that my knee got injured and start bleeding, though I tried to treat it with clean water, see I tied this wet hanky around it to get ease with pain and inflammation.

Mother: (For few seconds she look at my knee, may be trying to guess how much deep it is) Ohh go upstairs, change your clothes, fresh up and do untie this hanky. I will be there in room with the first aid kit.

However, before I could move, I heard aunt as well as granny's voice,

Aunt: (Dramatically) O shit how this happened, it must be hurting you blindly but you should also know wearing shorts outside the house its not good.

Granny: (With concern and a bit dramatic, saying all this by looking towards my mother) hey are you mad or what, she is injured and you are telling her to go up and change. (Now looking at me) Dear come here and sit down.

Without saying anything I just start limping towards my room because I decided to listen to my mother as I trust her and no mother can be selfish or unconcerned towards his or her child, to be honest I don't really trust these two ladies. Though these two are related to me by blood relations but the vibes around them plus their talks, always make me believe that they are not good people. Once I reach in my room, I get fresh and untie the hanky and meanwhile I heard my room door open and closed so, I come out of the bathroom and there I found my mother sitting on my bed with first aid kit kept beside her.

Seeing me outside the bathroom, mother with her eyes asked me to drag the chair near her and I drag the chair, sit on it and this way I am in front of her. Soon she started applying antiseptic on my injury, I tried not wince or flinch when she does it. However, she initiated the conversation and I think she just try to distract me by doing so,

Mother: Hey, you know you are more strong than I thought but you are little bit idiot too.

Siya: Hawww! I am not idiot, what did I do?

Mother: You should never ever tie wet hanky on blood injuries because it can infect your injuries. In fact your injury has got infected.

Siya: Ohh sorry I will be more careful for next time.

Mother: Good

With this she complete dressing my injury, she pat my head and with smile on her face, she leave my room. I just sit in the chair more relaxingly, keeping my injured leg straight on the bed and close my eyes. However, soon this silence got disturbed as, both my Aunt and Granny come into my room and seeing them here my mood got spoiled. They both come sit on my bed and their sitting place is such that, they are sitting either side of my leg and initiated the conversation,

Aunt: (Over sweetly and sympathetically) Don't worry baby it will be fine, just a week time or less but it will get healed up.

Granny: (Scowling face) And I am not like your mother baby, I will be visiting you regularly to keep a regular watch on you rather then running away after completing the dressing.

Siya: Hmmm (Internally thinking, can't they see I am injured. One should cheer up the patient but see what are they doing here, telling ill things about my mother)

Aunt: Since the day I come start staying here, I have seen how selfish your mother is. There used to be the days, where she used to go her parents home, even though your granny and grand dad were ill and she is stubborn too, what she wants to do or want have then she will either by hook or cook.

Granny: Yeah, we did try to do everything to treat her like our daughter only but she never considered us her own, she has her way of doing things and she won't be doing things in our way at any cost.

Siya: Sorry to interrupt but what was her age, when she got married to father?

Granny: Twenty one.

After listening to this my mind start its own conversation, by ignoring their senseless talking.

Siya: Huhh, I am not even twenty one now but I know if I get married by mistake I am sure I won't be able to adjust there or maintain relations properly that too with house responsibility. My mother can't be that selfish or stubborn, can she be? But why they both will lie, sometimes it become difficult to choose sides.

A though some to my mind, "Listened to everything little by little everyday, I tried to ignore it and I succeeded in doing so, to some extent but little that remained left is making me feel confused as well as restless."

However, as soon as my internal conversation got over, then only I notice that they had left my room and I sighed loudly, I get up from the chair and lay down. All the while keeping my leg straight only, then I guess I fall asleep because of tiredness as well as in pain because I get up when I hear my father's voice,

Father: (Concerned voice) Hey how are you? Is it hurting that bad?

Siya: (Whispering tone) Yeah, I am unable to move my leg, majorly not able to bend it.

Father: Ohh Okay. Don't go for football practice for some days but if you want then you can go to attend classes but if it not necessary then take off okay? Yeah, here I got your dinner and some medicine, before sleeping I will be changing your dressing okay?

Siya: Yeah okay.

After an hour I am finally ready to go to bed and as father said he will be doing dressing again, he came in and start doing dressing, in fifteen minutes or so he is done with it but let me tell you the way he does dressing is damn perfect, however, his way of doing it is bit harsh because I literally screamed out loud. However, at the moment when he is at the door, he turned back and ask a question,

Father: (Concerned voice) Hey are you going to school tomorrow for classes?

Siya: (Confused) I don't know but I will be deciding it in morning only, if I would be able to walk I guess then I would be going definitely.

He just nod his in understanding, leave the room and then after some minutes I thought do I actually want to stay at home because, I know Aunt and granny would definitely going to hover around me if I stay but attending class in such pain won't be easy. While I am thinking all this I received a ping on my phone, when I opened it I found a text message from Erik,

Message Conversation (....)

Erik: Hey, I have something important to tell you.

Siya: Say.

Erik: I got a part time job which I will be doing on weekends, with my studies.

Siya: Wow, that's nice.

Erik: Yeah but there is one problem.

Siya: What?

Erik: My mother don't want me to do that job as she want me to focus on studies first so, she is not giving me money to purchase formal clothes as well as accessories.

Siya: Okay (After thinking for sometime, I got an idea)

Siya: Hey what if I give you some money, I have saved some and once when you get your first salary then you can give me that. What say?

Erik: Yeah this would be nice, thanks a lot. We will meet near the school coffee shop and skip the school, okay?

Siya: Cool.

Message Conversation End (....)

After this I sleep with a smile on my face, feeling happy because my little help can help him to be independent and another reason is I won't be have to attend the classes but I would going out of the house so, technically saved from Aunt and granny.

Though I am unaware of the fact that I am digging a hole for my self, step by step...
