Blake and Sun were taken by Glynda while Ruby was left with me. I could understand why, I was also pretty sure someone was watching over Ruby. Either she was being watched or she was being tracked. Perhaps all the scrolls the students had were being tracked.
I also wondered why Glynda didn't go herself? What was she doing that had a higher priority? Ruby broke the silence, "Soooo, that was pretty wild!"
I looked at Ruby. I had thought of many different strategies to handle her. Except when I looked into her silver eyes, she felt too pure. I buried the feelings "Do you know what you will need to do?"
She looked down, "I uh..."
I sighed, "Blake is a Faunus. You realized this didn't you? She hid her identity because she is an ex-White Fang. Do you understand?"
Ruby nodded and I ran through possible choices. I could just double up, but that was much less fun. We finally reached Ruby's Dorm. When Ruby knocked on the door Yang yanked open the door. "Ruby! Wher- You! Why are you?"
I raised and eyebrow, and released a little of my aura making Yang flinch for a second. "I am a lecturer."
Yang frowned, "Says the criminal."
I smirked, "Doesn't that mean you are a criminal? I mean I simply was a patron at a bar. You are the one who assaulted bouncers, destroyed private property and obstruct a place of business. Ruby don't be like the rest of your team."
My verbal jab clearly dug into Ruby. She had respect for her sister, but Blake was an ex-terrorist and Weiss was a spoiled brat. Weiss wasn't really comparable to Yang and Blake, but she was still a good example.
I began to turn around while Yang shouted, "Don't you say that crap to my sister!"
I looked back and laughed, her semblance was on the verge of taking her over. I smirked, "Only a fool lets their semblance control them. Perhaps we should have a lesson about emotion based semblances."
Yang flared up a little more and Ruby pushed her sister back into the room. "Yang is a good person. She just has a little bit of a temper, she controls it when she needs to."
I gave a nod to Ruby, "You are a good kid Ruby." I thought for a moment, "Evil can hide within anyone. Sometimes one must know their demons to walk in the daylight."
I walked off from Ruby as she snuck into her dorm. I had a good guess she wouldn't be in class tomorrow. Ruby would be called to Ozpin's office. Blake, no actually Yang would like be missing too. Weiss would never miss a class...
I smirked, meaning if she went missing for a few hours no one might notice. I'll call her back for another lesson, though I will double check any possible variables. I made my way back to Glynda's office.
I had two very persuasive arguments I had to make. One relating to Blake and one relating to Glynda. Just outside Glynda's office though Sun was sitting in a chair. He jumped when he saw me, "Ah man, you scared me."
I looked at the boy and shook my head. "The hallway is empty."
Sun argued, "You can't say that, I was looking down and you made almost zero sound." The next second though his eyes lit up, "Teach me!"
I raised an eyebrow and Sun immediately explained. "When I use my semblance I have to sit still. So if I can sneak up on someone I can activate it and boom! Three of me attacking at once and they never saw it coming."
This time instead of a simple gesture I pointed at him, "Number one, you aren't my student. Number two if you have a semblance that makes doppelgangers of some kind it likely makes a sound spawning them. Third, that wouldn't help much in that situation. As you don't dress yourself in the proper attire. Fourth and finally, I move silently because of my semblance."
That wasn't untrue, and I could legitimately teach him how to move without a sound. However I didn't want to teach him those skills. At the same time though... I had long since casted an almost permeant enchant on my clothes to muffle all my movements. It was just more efficient to combine my habits with my semblance.
I looked at Sun and studied him slightly, "If you attend my class maybe I can teach you how to move while summoning your doppelgangers." I actually wanted to see his semblance worked. Having him in class would be a good excuse to study it. The ability to create doppelgangers was incredible useful after all.
I moved past him and knocked on the door. Sun leaned back in his seat. "I tried to listen through the door. At first I was able to hear them talk, but it got really quiet."
That was because Glynda's aura was covering the room. It seems she could use her telekinesis on a little more than I thought. I activated my own semblance, "Enchant: Intangible." Thanks to my semblance I stepped through the locked door like it wasn't there.
Glynda went wide eyed as I stepped into her office. I let go of the enchantment on the door and smile, "I knocked."
She sighed while Blake looked at me. Her expression was pretty complicated and it seems she was getting a lecture about her origins. Glynda sighed, "Why have you intruded on our meeting Mr.B-"
I interrupted her, "It's Mars, Glynda. I am not a student, but a dear friend." My smile grew a little when I said friend.
Glynda clenched her teeth and grumbled. "Are you going to answer the question? Even if you insist on me calling you by your first name I am still your superior so inter-"
I let of my smile, "Glynda, are you seriously trying to lecture Blake alone? You sent me to help the girl while you were busy. I agreed, because I know you won't go back on my conditions on helping you." Her face hardened, but I continued speaking ignoring her change in expressions.
"However that doesn't prevent me from having an opinion and a more relatable disposition to certain students. If you honestly believe you can understand the nuisance of every student alone you don't care for their well being."
Glynda's back straightened a little in surprise. While Blake was in shock that I spoke to Glynda like that. With that reaction I could already read the girl. My eyes went back to Glynda and I spoke again while she was still stunned. "Blake is going to obsess over this incident. She will take your advice to come clean to her team, however she will reject their help and support. After all Blake will feel the White Fang isn't their fight. Not just because Blake was once one of them, but more racial directed conversations. Am I wrong Blake? Isn't that why you brought Sun Wukong to the docks despite only knowing him for... three? Four days? At least however long you have been skipping classes."
Glynda regained her composure while Blake looked down in silence. The room stayed in silence until Glynda asked, "Ms. Belladonna, is that all true?"
Blake snapped back to Glynda with wide eyes, "I wouldn't have obsessed! i ju-"
"Enchant: Silence." Blake was unable to voice anything anymore. Glynda however corrected her glasses. "Undue your semblance Mars."
I snapped and Blake's voice echoed her surprise. However Glynda didn't let Blake speak her mind, "It seems I didn't take account some things. I planned on calling Ms. Schnee in to have a conversation about her opinions. However it seems I forgot the other perspective."
Glynda rubbed just beneath her eyes. "I hate talking about these things. It reminds me of the academy. Mars... Since you considered Ms. Belladonna's perspective and actions more than me what would you suggest?"
I looked at Blake who was down casted. Her whole face shown a complicated expression of emotion. "If left alone she will open up to her team. Ruby would never leave Blake alone while Yang has her own emotional ineptitudes that can allow her to relate to Blake. Weiss Schnee is the only complicated one however she will likely be the first to act. Weiss is spoiled and bratty, but she is lonely and depressed below the surface. She trusts Blake and thinks of her as a friend. The only problem in Wiess is that she has no idea how to treat a friend or relate to Blake personally."
Blake's face simplified into confusion while Glynda was listening to me intently. So I continued, "The simple solution is to tell Blake this." I looked at her, "She isn't dumb, and will not lash out unless under other factors. After all she ran rather than fought her friends. So that only leaves us to correct her obsessive tendencies."
I paused for a second and smiled at Blake. "When was the last time you slept?"
She blinked and Glynda looked at Blake. I spoke again, "I can just make you tell the truth Blake, How long since you last slept."
She looked down again, "I-I don't know. I couldn't..."
I pointed, "The answer is when I made you sleep. She didn't even consider that time meaning she likely missed a couple days of sleep already. We will have Yang monitor Blake for the time being while we come up with a better solution to Blake's problems. I also suggest for the next couple of days we have me put Blake asleep with my semblance. That way she can get at least some rest. I used it on myself and I felt great afterwards."
Glynda nodded, "Ms. Belladonna, do accept these terms." I raised an eyebrow silently, terms? What was she doing signing a contract? I kept my thoughts to myself as Blake nodded. "I'll make an effort."
Glynda pointed to the door. "Go take Sun and head the dorms. He is staying at the temporary lodgings. I will make a call to your dorm and make sure your team is waiting for you."
Blake nodded again however this time she silently left the room. I looked back at Glynda, "Faunus racism goes both ways. Blake has some deep rooted thoughts about humans. She likely doesn't believe Faunus are superior to humans. However years of being a member of the white fang and daughter of one of the founders of the organization. It is bound to have an effect on her. She is as much of a princess as Weiss Schnee."
Glynda nodded, "I never thought this topic would come up."
I shrugged, "I did the math, this year is the largest number of Faunus students in all of Beacon's history. It was bound to happen and only didn't happen in the past due the lower number and less interactions between said factions. This year we have 5 ex-white fang members. Two of which formed a faction of their own. Which from my research into the bullying. Said faction is at direct odds of another faction that is against the attendance of Faunus."
Overall the school was becoming a storm and with White Fang in the city. I had a feeling we needed to wrap it up quickly. I smiled, "So Do I have the permission to just mind wipe those that are discriminating. On both sides of course."
Glynda frowned, "No you do not. Ozpin and I are working on a solution. Now if you have nothing else to say I have work to do."
I smirked, "I believe you have plenty of time to do that work later. How about you honor our deal."
She frowned and her face grew red. "I never agreed to th-"
I tilted my head, "So what? We both know you will still honor it. After all, I even went above and beyond just now to help you? How could you dare to not uphold it."
Glynda's face grew redder and I smirked, "I'll see you in an hour."
