Every night felt like never-ending, She was lonely but never asked for help as if she didn't believe in healing after what she went through her heart ached but she never showed it
Every night she would wish she could turn back time to the good old days which she experienced, life was getting darker for her, as much she wanted to kill herself but something was holding her back, maybe she was coward
The ringing phone brought her back to reality she immediately declined the call seeing her mothers call and rested her head against the headboard the amount of trauma and pain she was holding inside herself couldn't be described if she answered she surely would've teared up which she didn't want to, she maintained a strong personality in front of the world but the woman she was inside can shock many
Suddenly there was a knock on the door she again brought her out of her trance and she lazily stood up and walked up towards the door to see who was there at this hour
As she soon opened the door she saw the person who is the reason she is silently suffering, tears threatened to fall from her eyes as she closed the door immediately before sliding down against it and trying to stop her muffled sobs by setting her hand tightly against her mouth
The knocks got louder every second she wanted to shout and tell the person outside to go away but words were not coming out
That sentiment was this she didn't recognize but was she ready to confront him after all these years
"Open the damn door jane I know you are in there please listen to me just once, I know I am a jerk but please listen to me this once I, 'll promise I won't disappoint you please," said the man behind the door
Jane stood up and managed to make herself look natural in front of the door and unlocked it keeping a poker face because if not today she will have to encounter her past tomorrow
She saw Eric standing outside with puffy eyes, she felt a pang in her heart seeing him in this situation but what could she do he was the one who pushed himself into all this chaos
"What do you want?" She struggled to ask him who was standing like a statue watching jane after many years
She again repeated her question but aggressively Eric hesitated as jane bit her lips in frustration "I-i know I H-have been a jerk all t-this time but please forgive me give me an s-second chance jane I'll prove m-myself" he managed to state while stuttering.
WHAT? Jane asked shockingly "why would you come back after all these years and ask for my sympathy weren't you the one who wanted me to die", she asked him wiping her tear-stained cheeks "I am sorry jane let's talk it out," Eric said staring at a vulnerable soul in front of him, "talk it out? My foot, get lost before I do something you'll mourn all your life," she said as she drew her knife and held it up in front of her throat making the guy in front of her tremble in fear
He immediately surrendered " i"ll go but please don't hurt yourself I request you," he said "get lost" was the only words he heard before the wooden door was slammed in front of his face, he managed to walk out, arriving at the park where they both used to come together the park looked so gloomy he ran near the lake and saw his reflection in the liquid, his legs gave up as he fell while wailing his heart out
she sat down near her study and took out her friendship diary, the diary which comprises her and Eric's beautiful moments she opened it and felt nothing except hatred towards Eric throughout flipping sheets she came across an image where they were at university, she looked so pleasant but the look on his face indicated an unusual sensibility
Flashback:
The day they heard about their university's trip to Hawaii they were excited, the next day jane went to her university where students were settling down in the buses she looked around for Eric but there was no sign of him she guessed that he might have settled down in another bus so she quickly took a seat next to the Nerd because he was the safest person to be seated next to "hi Riley" jane greeted him adequately to which he replied with a smile the bus started jane was feeling very uneasy without Eric's presence around her but she failed to notice that someone was adoring her
Reaching their destination she saw Eric with Aria 'janes bully' holding hands, jane couldn't process what he was doing she went towards him and called him " Eric where were you "Â
Eric turned back to see jane standing being her suddenly jane was pushed down towards the floor by aria " oh sorry I didn't see you" aria said mockingly, he gasped as he saw aria smirking he helped jane to stand up, jane immediately grabbed his hand and took him away from aria
"Eric what the hell are you doing with aria, you know how much I hate -" she couldn't even finish her sentence when Eric shouted making her flinch " I don't want to hear anything against aria first of all you can't interfere in my life, I am dating aria and don't create problems for us like you have created for yourself all these years, I don't want to continue this friendship with you because aria doesn't like you now go away before I'll do something you don't want to see"
He exclaimed angrily, "why did you give me hopes when you had to crush them at the end huh, what about all those commitments Eric, unexpectedly you are coming to me and informing me that I am the problem" jane yelled at him "you know what jane just go die, stop ruining my time"
Eric declared openly and harshly pushed her towards the floor but before she could fall somebody caught her, she glanced upwards and saw Riley holding her she shortly accepted his support and stood up while glaring at Eric for one last time and leaving that area
