Chapter 7 - The Saeveryn Effect

"Princess Zoe and Princess Jessica, please report to the headmistress's office," Seylah said over the intercom.

"Are we in trouble?" Zoe asked for herself and Jessica. "Of course not. You are needed at the palace. Goodbye for now." Zoe and Jessica then teleport to the palace. When they teleport they land in chairs beside each other in the war room. Across from them is Queen Slyvie, and King Eris. "Dad? I can't believe you're here." Eris smiles. "I wish it were on better terms… Princess Zoe, isn't it? Tell me, why would Saeveryn want war with my realm?" Eris asks Zoe. Zoe looks at her mom and sighs.

"She knew that starting a war with your kingdom would put our kingdom in a dangerous predicament. Since you are a descendant of the fairy queen tactician, Queen Elaine, you would destroy our kingdom in an instant. And let's not even talk about our army ratio. Even if his army was weaker than ours, there's a chance we'd lose by the amount of soldiers they have." Zoe explained. "You are right. Magicae is a strong kingdom and we could lose a war with them. But you still haven't told us the why, Zoe." Sylvie squints her eyes in a way that tells Zoe to say it all.

"She believes she is stronger than you, mom. She was planning to use this war to kill you and me to make her queen. When she was going to kill me, she was going to use a spell to make her look like you. She was gonna make you the bad guy and take your title." Zoe revealed.

"Wow, your sister seemed like a handful." Eris chuckled. "But that seems like a half-ass legitimate plan, she doesn't know that I would declare war. My realm has had a thousand-year civil war. And another war not too long after that. I will not be in a silly war such as that. If she killed my daughter to start a war, I'd kill her to prevent it. Simple as that." Eris says. Eris and Sylvie look at each other. "Well, you two can leave now. Deliandre will teleport you back." Sylvie says quickly. Jessica looks at Eris and Slyvie with suspicion. "No. There is something you guys haven't announced. Spill it." Jessica pried.

Eris and Sylvie turned to each other. Eris nods at her. "Saeveryn found a way to contact an alien species. She told them they could siphon the magic of our planet. She traveled all across the world and found the entry to Magia Terra's core. The core is primary magic. The alien species she contacted, aims for plants that contain primary magic. They will destroy our world if they find out its core is made out of primary magic." Sylvie asserted to them.

"Who are 'they'?" Zoe questioned. Eris then speaks in a disorienting tone. "Or rather Varians. Their true name is spoken in a language that most cannot comprehend. I'm one of the lucky few due to me becoming a god to fight Kirolorria." Eris says. "How will we counter their attack?" Zoe implored Slyvie. "The best plan is to evacuate all civilians and scatter our forces across the realm. And if needed, I will join the battle." Sylvie exhaled. Zoe has a facial expression that says 'Is that it?'. "It was the only plan I could think of. Since we don't know the exact location of where they'll land, the only way to find them quicker is to scatter her forces and then send a signal so that the rest of the army can regroup there and launch a full attack. That's all I could think of." Eris grumbled in anger.

"That is also why I have consulted with King Eris in the first place. He's a direct descendant of Elaine so I knew that he'd have a great strategy." Sylvie praised. Jessica crosses her legs and begins to stare at the world map on the table. "Scratch that plan. Evacuate the kingdom and leave the army on standby. Let the knights defeat them." Jessica suggested. "We don't know what we're dealing with. I will not send my strongest out on a suicide mission."

"Slyvie, though it is a new generation, perhaps you should let the knights fight. Not only are they your kingdom's elite team, it's fewer of them. They'd be harder to notice. Actually, would you mind summoning them here? I'd like to tell them the strategy I just came up with." Eris holds his chin and Slyvie nods in response.

"So, when does the party start?" Hasan asked Ashamoke as he received a gummy of something from Aeron. "It's starts at eight. It's on Grimm Island but no worries, I can teleport us there." Ashamoke said in between taking small bites of his gummy. "Do you want one? You have to eat it slowly so that you can enjoy it." Ashamoke offered a gummy to Hasan. He nods hesitantly. "I'll wait to get.. uh high. Or whatever the humans call it." Hasan says.

He walks into his room and lays on the bed. He turns to the window and looks outside of it, looking for something that he knows he won't see. Instead, he sees something else, red and white fireworks. "Hey guys, I think we have a meeting," Hasan yells from his bedroom.

Sylvie and Eris wait in the war room for the knights to arrive. "Slyvie," Eris begins. "could you find a way to contact King Terraum? I need permission to enter Gigantios." "I'm not sure if he'd approve," Slyvie responded. Eris simply nodded his head, and the knights came in. "There you are. Please sit. War is upon Astellan and Queen Slyvie and I need your help. Are you all up for it?" Eris asks the knights with suspense. They all agree after a few moments. "Well then. I am going to give you a legitimate strategy on how to defeat them. All of you will have to be 100 kilometers away from each other and form the heptagon spell across the realm. So, when they land, you'll know where. You guys will rendezvous where they are and at the right moment, all of you set a barrage of attacks. It'd be better if Titania strikes first. A chain reaction of fairy glitter bombs should severely weaken them. After the barrage of attacks, you will then come out of hiding and attack them." Eris explained.

"I truly wish I could help you. But it's the safest way to keep this war underground. Plus, I am not how I used to be ever since the Great War." Sylvie revealed. "It's fine your highness. We can handle it." Sloan says. "Good. Now tell no one. We must prevent a national and or international panic. Farewell."

~Later On Grimm Island~

"Yes, finally. I can get high." Hasan said as they entered into the party. It was a big, abandoned courtyard on the outskirts of a nearby city. "Are you seriously only here to do that?" Aeron asked as he walked beside Jessica. "No, he's also here for operation Earth removal," Rose said grinning at Hasan, winking. "We have business to attend to." Said Rose in a fancy tone, taking Hasan deeper into the crowd. "Why are you guys so dull? Come on let's party!" Sola said enthusiastically.
