A man drove in a car through the streets. He turns the window wipers off. "Chicago weather is so unpredictable." He wondered then began to hum.
He walked in the sand and saw seven figures lying in the sand ahead of him. "The Knights of Astellan on Earth…" he said to himself as he walked towards them.
"So, I checked the books," Henry says after he walks in. "Nothing about The Old, or a Roar of Calamity." Eris sighed in disappointment when Henry told him that. "Either Daeverana sent us off or there is absolutely no record of it in the castle."
Jesse walked towards them. "My King, you can go to the Hall of Kings," Jesse suggested. "What's that? I never heard of it." Eris queried. "That's no surprise, people rarely speak of it." He stepped closer. "The Hall of Kings is a giant hall filled with books of the knowledge and memories of the past kings and two queens. Maybe you can find some books in Queen Daeverana's section." Jesse advises. "Worth the try. Where is it?" Eris asked. "In the fairy sanctuary. But only a king of Magicae can enter the room. If others try you can expect death. Oh, and Henry can't go either. He isn't the heir so…" "That's okay. I have meetings with governors anyway. Have fun, babe."
Zoe groans as she awakes, rubbing her forehead. She sits up, looks around, and sees her friends all sleeping on a couch—all of them except Hasan and Jessica. Someone walks in.
"So, you're awake?" A man asks, arms crossed. Zoe smiled. "Oh my god, Grayson!" She gushed. She walks up to him and hugs him.
She pulls away after a brief moment. "How are you here right now?" She asks. "More like how are you here right now? How did you guys get to Earth?" Grayson asked. Zoe turns. "Uhm" she begins to remember. "My realm was attacked but we won. It was us knights against an entire army and we won. But we got trapped in a time-lapse spell and got blasted into space. The last thing I remember is Jessica… Where is she?"
Zoe follows Grayson into a room. "Your enemy really did a number! She is drained of magic, severely drained. I studied her and it seems like she held her magic for a year it seems." Grayson said astounded. "We were gone for a year?!" She yelled. "I don't know for sure. But, I can get you guys back in no time. But Hasan… he's in a coma. When I said that your enemy did a number, I didn't only mean her." Grayson said. "Fine, we will wait then."
Eris and Jesse walk down a corridor, and at the end, it's a giant door. "This is the door, King Eris. Only you can open it, and only you can go in." Jesse said. Eris sighed. "Arrange me a visit to Astellan before you call off or anything." Says Eris. Jesse nods and then walks away.
Eris placed his hand on the handle and shivered. He then opens the door and entered. It was a huge corridor with statues of all of the past eleven Kings, two of them Queens. "I see that you are the current King of this realm. You are granted knowledge from the memories of King Ellor, King Eallor, King Daevid, Queen Daeverana, King Jaeiah, King Javince, Queen Tiavara, King Ta'jae, King Ba'Jae, King Baron, and King Allock." A male automated toned voice said. Near the statues, cases of books then shift from out of the wall.
"Uh, I wish to know of a society. Called The Old..?" He asks out. An alarm rings. "What is the code to Fourth Queen Daeverana's Secret Memory Files? Hint; Ventus Persona." The voice said. "Oh! I know this!" Eris gushed. "Slimptints?" The voice responded to him with an error sound. "Uhmmm… Ronaria?" Eris chuckled nervously. The voice didn't say anything for a moment.
"Correct. What do you wish to know about The Old?" Said the voice. "First, what is The Old?" Eris asked. "The Old is a diverse order of individuals with knowledge and information dating back to over 1,500 years ago. They were seen as powerful and wise Sages. They also protected Magia Terra from powerful threats. The reason why The Old is only three people today is because of their fight during the Great War. It cost The Old nearly all of its members. That is maybe why they did not help the planet last year in Astellan. But maybe they will aid you. Your daughter defeated the aliens, and they might thank you for that." The voice said. "Well then, where can I find them and who will I be looking for?" Eris questioned. "The only way for you to find them is for you to pray." The voice says. A book then flies in front of Eris.
"You must chant the words in this book every night before you sleep." The voice said. "Okay. Thank you. But, I'm not done. I also wanna know what the Roar of Calamity is." Asserted Eris.
"Voice file opening." The voice changes. "I am the tenth King of Magicae, King Baron and knowledge on that subject will not be shared." The voices change back. "Is that all?" The voice asks. "No! Why can't I open files on that subject?" Eris queries. "King Baron put an override on any knowledge about it. No one can open it without finding out and repeating that same override. But I can suggest knowledge on a relatable subject." The voice suggested. Eris nodded in response.
"The Great War is a subject in King Ba'Jae and King Baron's memories. The Great War, or what most Magicaeans say, the Great Dragonic war, was the war between multiple Fae species and powerful dragons-" "Wait, I know that much. Just tell me how it is related to the Roar of Calamity." "The Dragon King. He is related to the Roar of Calamity. The Dragon King was a powerful dragon. He revealed himself during the war. He was the most powerful dragon alive. And he was so demented that he even killed dragons. The only people who could truly face him in a battle face-on, and make him release his true power, were King Baron, Queen Elaine, and Queen Sylvie. He was very powerful. The voice explained. "So that means that the Dragon King might wage war on my kingdom…" Eris had begun to consider. "Nonsense. The Dragon King is gone. Queen Sylvie made sure of that." The voice said.
Zoe looks out the window, glaring into the streets of Chicago. "Zoe, Grayson got this earthling food called pizza. Do you want to eat it?" He asks her. She didn't respond. "What's wrong, Zoe?" He grabbed her shoulder attempting to get her attention. "It's just… aren't you worried?" Zoe worried. "Yeah, I am. And we can talk about it… over the earthling food pizza!" Ashamoke said cheerfully. "Okay, fine."
Ashamoke and Zoe enter the living room. Zoe eyes widened. "I didn't know you guys were awake." She said astounded. "Uh, and your aura's wonky. Come try this pizza and let me give you a reading." Rose says as she gets up and pulls Zoe to where she's sitting.
"Okay, guys. So, this is the plan," began Ashamoke, mouth full. "Grayson said that Jessica won't wake up at full power. But if we want to get home before she can open a portal, we can go south of this city we're in right now and have Magus teleport us." Ashamoke smiled. "No, not Magus, His grandson, Aarion." Grayson corrected.
"Okay, and what is your role in this Grayson?" Sloan said. They glare at each other for a moment, and everyone looks at them. "Me and Sloan will go bring drinks." Grayson stands. They both go to the kitchen. "Anyway…" Says Rose
"How are you, Grayson?" Sloan said. "Don't do that play shit you do, Sloan."
"Oh, not even an I miss you?" Sloan teased. "No. Because I did my part of the agreement, Sloan. What about you? Did you liberate Zaharia?" Grayson asked. "When we made that deal, we were nothing but kids going through trauma. I know we sealed it with a special pact but, I know that we can also alter it." Sloan said. "What do you suggest? Wait till you become Queen to do it?" Grayson assumed. "Uh, yes." Sloan chuckled. Grayson sighs. "So predictable."
"Grayson!" Aeron rushed into the kitchen. "It's Jessica. She's awake"
