The council stood in the chambers of the Sacred Tree. "You're- you're the chief!" Deros astounded. "No, there are no chiefs without our people," he began, "Now I am the Sacred Tree. I conjured up my magic and revealed my spirit to give you all advice; act fast. The six that are in that seal are extremely powerful. Eris, you faced one of those devils about three years ago, Kirolorria. He is the second to last powerful of the devils. If they are released right now, they will destroy this planet." Jesse takes a step up.
"Excuse me, chief...tree, uhm you said, 'right now,' does that mean they can be defeated at a later time?" Jesse asks. He smiled at the question and pointed a finger, at Eris. "Yes, by the gods. Eris can defeat them, but you haven't fully mastered your godly power. Now there is only one whom I am positive will defeat them, or at least one or two. The god of Elves, he could, but he has been missing for quite a while. That's why you must not risk their release. Once the gods are revealed, they will ultimately get out. The gods are the only way they will end," the Sacred Tree states.
"Sacred Tree, how do we stop the seal from releasing?" Mable queried. "Dark mercury magic has been continuously absorbed by the gate, weakening the seal. The only way to strengthen the seal is to absorb the magic that has been weakening it," he elaborates. "Thank you for this, Sacred Tree. We will handle this immediately," Eris says.
Mike and Jivan walk down a cobblestone street. "So will you do it?" Mike questioned. Jivan looks at him for a moment then smiles. "Yeah, I will. Wouldn't want his Highness to fail the history test," he chuckles. Mike's eyes widened and fluttered as he looked at Jivan. He quickly turns his head and focuses on what's ahead of him. He squints his eyes as he looks up at the castle.
"Is that the council?" He says as he sees the council readying their wings to leave. "I think it is," Jivan responds, looking at them as the council departs. "They're flying northwest, towards Kinzoku village. Hey, Mike, is Kinzoku village a part of the capital? I can't remember," Jivan chuckles lightly. "Aren't you supposed to be the history specialist?" He laughed, "Kinzoku started out as a village but later just became a neighborhood in the capitol... and it's home to an important clan. And a high official of the kingdom. Why would the entire council be heading there?" Mike wonders as Jivan and him continue to walk to the castle.
The knights and two elder nymphs stand in the room where Queen Slyvie is bedridden. "What do you mean, Elder Vetinry?" How is she... sick?" Zoe queried. He sighs "What she did to end the Great War, is now effecting her. This is the outcome of tampering with the Dark Realm's magical energy. The Darkening curse struck her from the leg up. After two hundred and three years of slowing it down, it seems she can't anymore. Once it reaches and consumes her heart, she'll be gone,' Elder Vetinry finishes.
The other elder of Astellan walks in and kneels and so does Elder Vetinry. "As of right now, the Realm of Astellan is in your hands, Princess Zoe." The Elders say in unison. Zoe glares for a moment, then snaps back. Her face calmed and fierce, she chuckled, then sighed. "Rose, try to absorb or remove however much dark magic you can. I'll be back." She says.
Jessica and Hasan follow the golem down a quiet street. They stop at a house that is in the middle of the street. The golem then crumbles. Hasan groans. "Finally! We've been walking for hours," he complains.
Hasan and Jessica walk to the door and knock. It's unlocked. They first knock and after a few moments of no response, they open the door. "Hello, is anyone home?" Hasan says after they enter. They hear a door swiftly creak open from a distance.
"Who are you?" Sypho asked cautiously. Hasan smirks softly. "This is Jessica, and me... I'm an old friend." He chuckles mischievously. "Ah, an old friend, are ya? Hmm, wait. Hasan, it's you?" He smiles in relief and excitement. Hasan smiles as well, "Yep, it's me."
The council flies over Kinzoku village and lands at the gates of the small temple residence of the Kinzoku. The guards at the gates are then struck with shock. "Your majesties? Wait, the whole council is here!" The guard says. "Where is your leader, Derio?" Eris queried. "He is in the gardens, Your Majesty," responded the guard. The council quickly passes the guards and heads to the gardens. They rush in and surround him, leaving his face in shock and a hint of hostility.
"Derio Kinzoku, Head of the Kinzoku Clan and member of The Parliament, you are under arrest for crimes against the kingdom," Henry asserted. Derio's eyes then squint in fake confusion. "May I ask, what crimes?" Mallock steps up with a face covering his anger. "Harboring the demon-sealed gate in secrecy, and also preparing to release those seals, which dangers the entire world. There will be a trial hold for you against these crimes," says Mallock. Derio smiles maliciously. He then turns to his daughter. "Deila, how dare you betray your father? Very well, it was meant to an end," he says then attacks her with a long sharp thread of metal coming from his palm. Deros rushes in front of her and then snaps the sharp metal with just his hands. Magically, he then turns it around and shoots it at his father. Derio dodges. "How dare you attack the council? Your sentence is imminent! Why fight?" Deros attempts to reason. "Because," he chuckles, "why not fight?" He smiles callously. Mallock flies up to the sky above them.
"Just stop resisting!" He yells. He holds his hands out. "Wrath of the four winds!" He yells. Four strong, small tornadoes form and swiftly proceed to Derio to attack. Derio's malicious grin vanishes. He seems firmer and more serious. "Good spell. Though, that won't be enough. Mercury corruption," Derio says, and the tornadoes' wind then turned into mercury tornadoes. Mallock's spell gets redirected and begins to proceed to him. A giant wall of earth then rises, shielding the council from Derio's counterattack. It's a spell from Jubi. Jubi then walks as close as he can to the wall earth.
"You can't honestly believe you can defeat the entire council, plus the Kings? Give up, traitor!" Jubi shouts from across the wall he created. He stands still with no response for a few moments, then quickly shifts to his right as he senses something. A floating puddle of mercury smashes through the wall and slams into Jubi. It propels him to the residence of Derio and attaches him to the nearly smashed wall.
A sword cuts through the wall of earth, making cuts like it's creating a door. Derio then busts in through the "door" that the sword forged. He inhales deeply. "I have wanted to do that for the longest!"
Jessica, Hasan, and Sypho all take a seat in Sypho's living room, which seems like more of a library. "So, what brings you here so suddenly? Asked, Sypho. "My friend Jessica and I are... looking for someone. But uhm, before I get to that, did you know that I am a prince?" Hasan hesitantly asks. Sypho blinks a few times, shocked by the question. "Not from the start. Your parents knew of the cult devoted to opening a portal to the Dark Realm. They also knew the cult comprised of strayed humans who recognized their magic abilities. They asked me to spy on the cult, but I got occupied in trying to free the cult's slaves," he elaborated. Hasan smiles in remembrance.
"Speaking of the cult, the person I am looking for is Veda," Hasan's smile fades as he gets serious. "Oh, of course. You want revenge. I'll tell you where he is," Sypho responds. Jessica and Hasan's faces reshape into astoundment. "Really? That's surprising." Hasan exclaims. "No, after all he's done, I'm sure you'd want him dead. He lives in Astellan, Grimm Island. I'll write down the address for you," Sypho finishes. He stands and rushes to another room.
Hasan turns to Jessica. "How fast can you fly us to Grimm Island," Hasan asks. At full speed, let's say two hours," she responded, clicking her tongue. Sypho comes back to the living room and hands the paper to Hasan. Hasan and Jessica stand up ready to leave. Hasan then hugs Sypho. "Thank you for everything, Sypho." He says. "You have to visit." He responds. They then break from the hug, and Hasan and Jessica leave, to fly north to Astellan.
Zoe busts into the room. "Deliandre and Ash, carry my mother to the carriage in front of the palace. Elders, I'm leaving you in charge until we come back." Zoe says quickly. "Where are you going?" The elders ask in unison. Zoe turns to them but hesitates to speak. "Magicae."
Deros and Delia fly down to attack Derio, armed with swords. Derio quickly makes a sword out of mercury and counters them both. Deros and Delia quickly get back up and attack him swiftly, back to back. After moments, Derio's wings appear, and he flies up to the sky, higher than his children. He then shoots both of them down by piercing them in their shoulder. "I thought you two were better," Derio says disappointedly. Mai stands on the roof of Derio's home.
"They are better. If you didn't realize Derio, they're holding back. But I won't hold back to scum like you. Even you fear this spell, Double Trouble," she announces. A magic circle appears in front of her, and two huge serpents made out of water come out of it. One serpent strikes Derio and slithers up into the sky while he's inside of it. He screams in pain.
Mai's Double Trouble can weaken its target with cold water pressure, then hot, then both.
The serpent then drops Derio while he's one hundred feet in the sky, and then the other serpent comes and opens its mouth wide and swallows Derio. He screams even louder this time. Parts of his clothing then begin to burn off. Then the serpent drops him again.
A water serpent coming from below, and a water serpent coming from above. They both pass through Derio. After they passed, the water serpents evaporated.
Derio struggles to stand as he hears footsteps coming towards him. He bounces up before the person can reach him. A sword swings and he dodges, retreating a few steps. He sees King Eris, flying in the sky, and he sees King Henry with a sword in his hand, not many feet away from him. Derio chuckles evilly.
"Eris, you bring this, this human here having him think he can go against me. All he'll do is hold you back," Derio says in contempt. Henry puts his sword in his sheath. "You think I came to hold him back? Hm, you thought wrong," he says proudly. He then speaks in Latin.
Both of his fists become fiery, a fire shape like the head of a phoenix. He then begins to attack Derio. They both end up fist-fighting, but Henry is packing quite the punch. Derio then summons metal slicers coming from the ground. Before the slicers each Henry, they get blasted by a white magic spell. Eris walks to Henry, and the council appears beside the kings, as well. White vines from Eris's magic bind him. Eris walks closer to Derio.
"Now, we're done playing. You are going to the dungeon under the castle. Sorry, it has to end this way, Derio." Eris says, genuinely.
Mike and Jivan sit in chairs in Mike's room. "So, we went over the founding of the parliament, the battle of the Sleeping Forest, and the founding of the Elementalist. The last thing we have to go over is The Great War. Specifically, why was it named the Great War, and who was our enemy," Jivan explained to Mike. Mike's face beams with excitement. "Ooh, okay, I know this one for sure. It was named the Great War because it was the only war in which more than two of the Great Realms partook. And, the enemy was the dragons," Mike smiled with confidence. Jivan looks at him with a soft smile before he pulls out a folded paper from his pants pocket. He unfolds it.
"This was our true enemy though. The Dragon King," he says, showing Mike the paper. It was a mastodonic dragon with a black-scaled upper body and a blue-scaled lower body. Mouth filled with razor-sharp teeth, and wings feathery with markings.
"The Dragon King was feared among dragons and said to bath in the blood of dragons. The only people who survived a battle against him were Queen Slyvie, Queen Elain, and King Baron," Jivan explained to him. Mike grabbed the paper slowly and scanned it carefully.
"No, this is the Dragon King? There is no way," he said with an astounded expression. "What's wrong?" Jivan asked worriedly. "I've spoken to him in-in my dreams," Mike looked confused. Jivan's face shifted into a shock. "What?! When did this happen?" Jivan queried as he walked to go sit beside him.
"When I was seven, I dreamt of this place where the sky was always gray, no flowers, and black leaves on trees. The creatures were barbaric and filled with darkness and would run wild at times. I can't give you a description for it is unfathomable. Weeks after I began dreaming of that place, I realized each time I went there I'd be closer to a darker part of a forest. I soon stumbled upon him. We even held conversations about a dozen times. But when a few months after I turned ten my dreams stopped taking me there," Mike explained carefully to Jivan. After hearing this from Mike, Jivan turned his attention to the wall for a few moments. He's doing this to take all that Mike said in. He then turned back to Mike with a sincere look, staring into his eyes,
"Mikalae, you wanna do something crazy?" He asks him. Mike smiles, and so does Jivan.
"Yes"
