As the frustrated island ruler ordered his servants to craft a sculpture of the colossal hand that had ended Morris and Nelson's lives, he left the battlefield, weakened by the immense exertion of power. His once-proud form dwindled, and he began to resemble a withered, grotesque figure. His powers had been drained, and he needed a dose to restore himself.
Island Ruler: "Cover me! I must recuperate. I can't let these intruders bring about my downfall."
His loyal servants formed a protective circle around him, guarding their diminished ruler as he retreated to his palace. The island ruler knew he needed to regain his strength and beauty, no matter the cost.
Within the palace, he commanded his servants to bring him the precious dose, a dark and ominous elixir that held the key to his rejuvenation. As they scurried to fulfill his wishes, the ruler's thoughts turned to the drastic measures he was about to take to regain his former glory.
Island Ruler: "Bring it to me quickly. I cannot afford to remain in this wretched state."
The servants rushed to a hidden, underground prison where numerous captives were held in squalor. In their desperation to satisfy their ruler's desires, they forcibly selected two unfortunate individuals and, with cruel efficiency, inserted their hands into the backs of the captives, extracting their spinal cords. It was a gruesome and horrifying sight, and the captives' agonized cries echoed through the underground chambers.
Moments later, the servants presented the severed spinal cords before the island ruler. He accepted the grisly offering with a sinister satisfaction, knowing that this dose was the price he had to pay to turn his back into his previous form.
Island Ruler: "Leave me now, and do not disturb me for two days. I must consume this with that solution and complete the process."
The servants departed, leaving their ruler to his gruesome task. Alone in his chamber, the ruler prepared to consume the dreadful elixir that would return him to his former glory. The room was filled with eerie silence as the island ruler embarked on the sinister path of rejuvenation.
Meanwhile, in the headquarters of the Savior Society, Aayam, became increasingly concerned as no major signals were detected from the communication channels of Morris and Nelson.
Aayam: "Why isn't working" he punched his table.
Fearing the worst, he urgently contacted Maxine, to investigate the issue.
Aayam: "Maxine, we have a problem. I can't establish contact with Morris and Nelson. Something's gone wrong."
Maxine diligently analyzed the communication logs and discovered an unsettling image that had been sent by one of the agents before their untimely demise – a depiction of the island ruler.
Maxine: "Aayam, I found something. It's a picture of the person, sent just before their communication was lost. It doesn't look good."
Aayam's brows furrowed with worry as he contemplated the dire implications of the image.
Aayam: "I think that this tall and serious looking person possesses tremendous power. We've underestimated the circumstances happening on this island. Morris and Nelson are in grave danger."
After a brief discussion about the island ruler's formidable abilities, Aayam made the difficult decision to send Kylan, one of the society's elite members, on a mission to investigate and, if possible, retrieve Morris and Nelson.
Aayam (over call): "Kylan, I need you to go to the Juichi Islands. Investigate the situation and, if necessary, bring our agents back. I'll assign Lady Liger as backup for your current mission."
Kylan: "Wo woo hold on sir! This all of a sudden. what happened on that island?"
Aayam: "Come here I'll give you the further information in SSHQ"
When he entered the SSHQ Aayam told him about the mission that was assigned to Morris and Nelson. And then He showed the picture that Morris and Nelson sent before the connection was lost. Kylan took that picture in the hand and stared at that.
Kylan: "This can't be, No NO This can't be"
Aayam: "Do you know him"
Kylan: "Very well"
Kylan accepted the mission, aware of the gravity of the situation. He was also tasked with informing Zede, about their involvement.
Kylan: "Understood, Aayam. I'll do whatever it takes to bring them back. I'll talk to Zede and ensure he's on board with this."
Kylan left the Savior Society headquarters and soared to Zede's residence. It was nighttime, and Zede was sleeping peacefully, unaware of the news that awaited him.
Kylan tried to wake Zede, shaking his shoulder gently, but the slumbering hero remained undisturbed. Frustration mounting, Kylan continued to rouse his friend, hoping to persuade him to join the mission. Finally, Zede awoke, bleary-eyed and annoyed.
Zede: (Grumbling) "Kylan, what's so important that you had to wake me up in the middle of the night? You better have a good reason for this."
Kylan: "Zede, it's urgent. We have a mission to the Juichi Islands."
Zede: "Alright, So why can't you do it by yourself. Mr. Senior"
Kylan: "Understand Zede This is not the time to decide who is Senior or not…"
Zede: "So why didn't you tell me about how you became cosmic man, because you are just 19 and cosmic man is serving the society from the past 20 years. Or you lied to me about your age too"
Kylan: "Zede, I've been keeping something from you. I became the cosmic man through a series of events, and I've been fighting for the same cause as you, just from the shadows."
Zede's surprise and anger were evident, his trust in his friend deeply shaken.
Zede: (Accusingly) "You...you kept this from me? I thought we were friends. Why didn't you tell me?"
Kylan: "I wanted to protect you, Zede. I wanted to spare you the dangers and the responsibility. But now, we have a mission to save Morris and Nelson, and I need your help."
Zede: "No I can't. I will not move an inch before you tell me about what happened to you since we got separated from each other."
Kylan: (Looked at the clock and sat down) "Ok, So we only have the time till the sun rises. Now let me start from where it all started."
Upcoming chapters will focus on Kylan's backstory.
