Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Hawaiian pizza

Vince POV

We walk up the basement stairs to find Mia and Mary sitting at the breakfast bar. They turn and smile looking at our intertwined hands.

"Everyone," pulling the men into the living room, "I'd like to present my mate, Luna Violet." Mia jumps up and engulfs Violet in a hug.

"You are going to be amazing," Mia says.

"Did you talk about coming back with us?" Zane asked.

"I wanted to have that conversation with everyone," I say to Zane.

"Well it's late, how about we fit you guys in the guest room and," Steve pauses looking at us, "Vince needs to clean his room, Violet help him please." he finishes looking at Zane and Mia.

"Let me call my Beta and see how the pack is running," Zane steps away.

"Can we eat? I haven't eaten yet." Vi says, looking at me.

"When did you eat last?" I question and she looks away.

"WAIT!" Violet says, looking around the room.

"What?" I follow her gaze.

"Kevin has cameras hidden in the house. He came in when we went to the restaurant and met Zane. That's how he knew I was leaving. I know there is one in my room, probably in every room." Steve is red with anger and I can see the disgust on Mary's face.

"Mary, could you take Violet out to pick up some food?" I say, trying to control the rage that is vibrating my body.

"What do you want?" Violet asked me sweetly, trying to help me calm down.

"Whatever you want, as much as you want," I say, looking down at my beautiful mate.

"Okay." She says, looking at her mom.

"Bruce needs us back. There was another rogue attack close to our pack and we need to prepare for an attack," Zane comes in, his Alpha aura is shining with hatred.

"Is it Griffin?" Victor comes forward, ready to rip someone apart. "Do you need me?" I ask Zane, while Mia goes to calm Zane down.

"I don't know who else would be sending rogues to attack strong packs. No, stay with your mate. I will keep you updated and we'll speak tomorrow." Zane says.

"Of course, safe travels," I say as Zane and Mia leave.

I can't wait to rip his head off his shoulders. Attacking with rogues and ruining our pack name! How could his father let this happen? Victor pushes forward and I feel everyone's eyes on me.

We will take revenge for our parents and take our pack back. Now that we can shift, it's training time. I say back to Vic.

"What are you doing? Your eyes keep going black and then green." Violet asked.

"Sorry, Victor is upset at the attacks, since it's my pack who is causing them. He is finally able to shift and is ready to go for blood, but we haven't trained in months. He's calmer now, please go get food and I'll be here when you get back." I kiss her cheek and her face flashes red.

"Mom, are you ready?" She asked Mary, who nodded and grabbed her keys. We walk them to the door.

I turn, "Steve, I am going to respectively rip your house apart." I say.

"I'm right behind you," Steve says

I found the camera in the kitchen quickly, hidden behind a plant. Steve found two more outside. I go into Violet's room and start looking.

Violet POV

Driving into town for dinner, my mom keeps taking glances at me.

"Do you have a question?" I chuckle at her.

"No, I'm just so happy you're home and safe." She answers with a smile. I can see the glare as tears fill her eyes.

"Mom, don't cry, I'm better than okay." I squeeze her hand.

"I know," she wipes her face and focuses back on the road.

"Where are we going anyways?" I ask.

"I thought we could get some pizzas. Sounds like Vince didn't eat either, make sure everyone gets enough. How do you feel about everything you found out?" she asked nervously.

"I felt a connection to Vince since he woke up, when he woke up and started asking about leaving, my heart broke. I can't describe the feeling. Knowing everything now, it makes sense that I was having dreams and needed to be around him. When he left on his birthday in the middle of the night, I felt like my whole world shattered. He explained about their marking thing, he bites my neck, so every wolf knows I am with him." I answered.

"I wonder how that works." She says curiously parking in front of the local pizza place.

"YES! I want a large Hawaiian pizza for myself." I yell excitedly.

"If that's what you want, I doubt anyone wants to eat pineapple on their pizza. How many should we get?" She asked.

"Three pizzas and two breadsticks," I suggest and get a nod in approval.

It takes 20 minutes for our food to be in the car and us on our way home. I already miss Vince and I have been gone less than an hour. The house is quiet as we try not to trip while walking through the door.

"Vince?" I shout through the house while setting the food on the counter.

"I think he's in your room, I found another camera in the basement and I hope that is it." My dad says coming up from the basement.

"There is one more camera…" I say.

"Where?" My dad asked in frustration.

"In my room, I will go check on Vince." I walk away before he can yell about the situation. Making it to the top of the stairs, walking towards my room I hear silence.

I slowly push my door open and find Vince on my bed with a piece of paper in his hand.

"Vince…" I give him a second to calm himself, "what's going on?" I ask.

"Sorry, I came up here to find the last camera and found this." He says holding up the paper. I nod, knowing it's the first letter I wrote to him.

"I rewrote this about fifty times. I didn't know how to explain how I was feeling." I say, he grabs my hips and pulls me into his lap.

"I have waited my entire life for you. I grew up watching my parents be engulfed in each other. Hearing the stories of how they met, the struggles that came and how a mate is the most important person in life. I love you my mate." He finishes his sentence with a kiss to each of my cheeks.

"I love you my mate" I say and he stares back at me. My body heats up under his gaze and my eyes start scanning his face, watching his eyes flash black. Without missing a beat I lean in, connecting our lips and pulling him closer. Feeling the sparks as his arms wrap around my body, a small moan escapes which causes him to let out a small growl.

"Food is getting cold!" I hear my mom yell from the bottom of the stairs.

I pull back quickly and laugh, "Let's go before they come up here."

"I haven't found the camera yet and we definitely just gave him a show." Vince replies.

I move off of his lap and scan each wall for anything that seems different. As soon as I get to the wall my bed faces I notice my bookshelf has a small box half hidden behind a picture.

"Found it." I say pointing at the shelf, Vince stands and grabs it.

"Let's go feed my Luna." He grabs my hand and smashes the camera in his other hand.

We find my parents in the kitchen eating and whispering among themselves.

"What did you get?" Vince asked.

"Pizza," I answered, handing him a plate.

"What kind?"

"Hawaiian, Meat lovers and Chicken Cordon Bleu." I laugh watching his face scrunch at hawaiian.

"Who got the hawaiian?" He questions and I slowly look away. "No, my Luna likes pineapple on her pizza!" He laughs.

"If you don't like it, don't eat it, more for me!" I say seriously. Grabbing my food and sitting in the living room.

He grabs a few slices and joins me quietly. I glance at him, notice six pieces of pizza and bread.

"Six pieces?" I question him.

"I haven't eaten today and I wanted to try your pizza." He holds up the Hawaiian piece and one bite that is half the slice.

"Take smaller bites because I am not saving you from choking." I point at him.

"Not bad, not my favorite," He says and shoves the rest of the piece in his mouth.

"Vince" I hit him, "I swear if you choke," I say through my teeth.

"I will be fine, now eat your dinner so I can put you to bed." He whispers in my ear.

"Okay kids, we are going to bed." My mom says pushing my dad up the stairs.

"We will probably watch a movie before falling asleep." My dad says with very obvious 'I am watching you' eyes.

I giggle and look at Vince, "Don't even think about it," and hold my hand up.

"I wasn't thinking about anything," His voice is soft and his eyes are piercing.

"G…good because my parents are right there." I point at the stairs.

"You're coming with me," he says casually, taking my plate and setting it on the table.
