Thirty minutes later the quad decided to bring an end to the fun, not because they were bored or anything, but because Lucifer's cake had arrived.
Before they left Apollo had promised they would return the next weekend and the next weekend would be a competition between him and Athena to see who had better fashion sense.
They watched Lucifer devour nine slices of cake alone in the living room. 'He should have been the God of Greed,' Athena thought.
"You aren't even going to offer some to us?" Artemis asked helplessly.
Lucifer's eyes were a bit slitted when he looked up and hissed at the Goddess of Hunt.
One of the servants laughed a little. "The Young Master loves his desserts," she said. "It's like a drug to him."
"Like a cat when they get their hands on catnip," Artemis said, sounding a bit weirded out.
Once Lucifer was done eating the cakes, he passed out almost immediately on the couch. "Is that meant to happen?" Apollo said going to Lucifer and poking his face a bit, but he doesn't wake up.
"His Highness did say this would happen," Em, the blonde servant who stood in front of Lucifer's door on the day he enhanced Phoenix's ability, said. "He said he would pass out for a few hours and not try waking him up because it is just a waste of time."
Apollo activated a telepathic connection to his sisters. "If the rest of the gods knew of Lucifer's love for desserts he would have been a partner long ago," he said through the telepathic connection.
Athena shook her head and said, "He would most like to have been taken advantage of and made into a source of entertainment like an exotic animal."
"That wouldn't have a beautiful ending," Artemis said.
Apollo was already imagining using some lovely desserts to lure Lucifer. His sisters saw this and they were immediately weirded out. "It's not going to be like that," Athena said, using a bit of her power to stop Apollo's imagination from going any further.
"Yes," Artemis said agreeing with Athena, "It's going to be more like..."
An imagination appeared with Apollo on the ground looking beaten up, and then several magic circles appeared around him with Lucifer flying in the air and him saying, "You dare try and trick me with your desserts, just who do you think you are?" Before ending Apollo.
"That's a bit over the top," Athena said. She didn't use her imagination to show what she believed Lucifer would do.
"What do you think he would do then?" Apollo said expectantly.
"I don't know," Athena replies. "We don't know him well enough so it is very unlikely that that's what he's going to do."
Rosetta comes in while the siblings are discussing Lucifer's reaction to what would happen if Apollo tried to lure him with desserts.
"What happened to the Young Master?" she asked.
The siblings finally broke out of the mental discussion and gasped in surprise. "You're back early," Athena said.
"Yeah," Rosetta replies looking a bit down. "His boss called him back saying that he had important work to do," she explained.
"That's too bad," Apollo said.
Rosetta smiled. "I saw you guys' video, it's surprising how you were able to grow Lucifer's hair to be so luscious," she said touching Lucifer's hair. "He looked so unhappy at first, then he left before returning becoming more into it."
Apollo grins and says, "Augustus called and probably told him that he looked cute or something."
Rosetta giggles. "It's surprising how much influence they have on each other," she said. "When His Highness was engaged to Ms. Lillian of the Cruz family, he only saw her when the Emperor and Empress told him to, he also never smiled once."
"Lu-- I mean Phoenix, was the same as well," Athena said.
"Really?" Rosetta said, going to sit down because she was tired of standing. "I didn't think the Young Master would be as cold to his ex-fiancé as His Highness I thought--"
"No, no, no," Athena said interrupting her. "Not like that, I meant that he never smiled, he always had this mask on, this is the fifth time he's been with the mask off."
"You've seen him without the mask five times?" Apollo asked in surprise. "I've only seen him without it twice," he said.
"So have I," Artemis said.
"To be honest, I'm even surprised that the mask hasn't appeared at all," Athena said.
'He must have had a hard time after his disownment,' Rosetta thought, gently brushing Lucifer's hair. "By the way why is he unconscious?" she asked.
"He ate nine slices of cake alone," Artemis explained blankly.
Rosetta gasped. "But he isn't allowed to have sugar, it was stated there in his medical report," she said.
"But he eats carbohydrates all the time," Athena said.
"Not that kind of sugar, the sweet stuff," Rosetta said. "I don't know why, but his mother who is a scientist, and even the doctors said he must not have sugar no matter what," she said seriously.
"Was it stated why?" Athena asked.
"No?" Rosetta replies. "It's just that it would be horrible if he got sick because he took sugar."
Apollo laughs a bit. "Nothing bad happens to him whenever he takes sugar, you can ask the other servants," he said.
"Nothing bad happens to him, Rosetta," Em said. "He just goes crazy for it then goes to sleep for hours afterward."
Rosetta smiled in relief. "Okay," she said.
"But don't stop whatever you are doing," Artemis said. "I don't need him hissing at me for my desserts because it might end up in a fight."
"I won't, don't worry, I also have to speak to His Highness about sending the Young Master that many desserts," Rosetta said getting up. "Anyway, I need to go and start preparing your dinner."
She leaves and returned to the kitchen. Apollo then turned to his sisters, "I'm bored," he said. "I'm going to talk to one of the cute girls from school." He got up and went to his room.
The goddesses were already numb to this behavior and just watched him leave.
