Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Augustus was forced to return to the empire by his mother since his new fiancé was injured, she also forced him to call his assistant to take Phoenix to his residence.

He knew better than to argue with his mother. So he did as she said. But he doesn't trust this fiancé of his, so before the EMT spaceship got to the empire, he called his servants in the residents to help him to prepare a room and install some security cameras everywhere in the house.

He did this before he leaves the Mother Planet because he wouldn't be able to do so once he was in space.

When he returns to the empire, it was already nighttime here, he returns home very late because of the traffic he met on his way back home.

He was quite tired by the time he got back. "Welcome back, Your Highness." He was greeted by the servants.

He nods his head in reply. "Would you like to eat something tonight?" One of the servants asked.

"Yes, please," Augustus replies, sounding a bit tired.

"Of course, Your Highness." That servant leaves and another walks to him.

"Your Highness," he said, bowing a bit. "The security system you asked for has been installed and it is connected to your holopad."

"Alright," Augustus said. "I'll be in my room if you need me," he said leaving.

Augustus goes to his room and takes out his holopad and checks the security footage, the first thing he notices was Phoenix's appearance. He looks nothing like his photos.

A small part of his hair had turned white and there were streaks of red in his eyes.

That's strange. Was that caused by the incident on Earth?

He watches as Phoenix enters his room and he immediately switched the camera to the ones in his room.

He wanted to know what his fiancé was doing. He thought that he would start by planning something. But he doesn't. Instead, he jumps on the bed immediately after he was left alone, lying on it happily face down.

He snuggles into the pillow and muffles something.

He then watches him get up as his stomach growled. "I hear you, I hear you," Phoenix said. "This lord is going to take a bath first, then eat. So stop complaining stomach worms."

With that, he enters his bathroom. He hears a scream. "What kind of dark magic is this?!!"

Augustus laughs a bit when he saw Phoenix run out of the bathroom drenched and shivering like a kitten.

He wasn't wearing anything, surprising Augustus. His skin looks milky like that of an omega. If he hadn't known better, he would think Phoenix was an omega.

But he also noticed something else. His body is a bit too thin, he could see Phoenix's ribs showing a bit.

He's not eating too well. Augustus felt determined to feed his fiancé, after all, what kind of partner would he be if he doesn't feed his partner to be.

He switches to the camera in the hall and sees the servants laughing amongst themselves as Phoenix walks to the dining hall, blushing in embarrassment.

It was obvious everyone had heard his scream. "Is the bathroom too high-tech for him?" Augustus wonders, switching to the camera in the dining hall.

He watches as Phoenix enjoyed his food. He sees him beginning to cry. He frowns a bit, then he sees Rosetta walking into the room, she stopped for a while, she was also holding a tray of muffins.

She touches his shoulder and asks gently, "Are you okay?"

It was as if Phoenix's mood changed when Rosetta touched his shoulder. It almost made him jealous. Almost.

They were talking happily until Phoenix wanted to reach out to grab some cupcakes and his hand was smacked.

He looked so pitiful when Rosetta said no dessert till he finished his meal. It was as if she had wronged him.

He heard a knock on his door. "Your Highness, dinner is ready."

Rosetta came to the dining table to ask Augustus if he was enjoying his meal.

"I'm enjoying this very well," Augustus replies. "It's delicious as always. Thank you."

Rosetta smiled gently. "It's good to know, Your Highness," she replies before turning around to leave.

"How is our guest?" Augustus asked before Rosetta left.

Rosetta smiled almost immediately. "He is so cute," she said, in a fond voice.

Augustus nods. "He seems to be fond of you," he said. "I want you to do something for me."

"Of course, Your Highness," Rosetta replies bowing. "What can I do for you?"

"Get close to him and see if you can get information about his parents from him," he said. He knows Rosetta would probably want to refuse. He then says, "I am a bit worried that he doesn't want to be here, so I want to help him."

Rosetta looked hesitant. "I will also increase your paycheck," Augustus added.

She pursed her lips hesitantly before nodding. "Yes, Your Highness," she said.

"Great," Augustus said.

Phoenix was glaring at Augustus as they ate breakfast. "Tell me the secrets to getting taller," he demanded from Augustus.

Augustus was stunned by Phoenix's outburst earlier. He doesn't like the fact that he is taller than him.

"Why do you keep asking this question?" Augustus asked coldly.

"I am older than you, but I am not tall, you are already a giant and you are still a child," Phoenix said dramatically.

"And so are you," Augustus replies in a monotone voice.

"Is there some kind of secret I should be aware of," Phoenix said, ignoring what Augustus had said.

Rosetta came in just in time to save Augustus from all the questions. "Maybe if you eat a bit more of your vegetables as His Highness has always done since he was a child, then maybe you'll get a bit taller than you already are," she said

Phoenix looks at the vegetables on his plate in disgust. He picks one of them up and puts it in his mouth before spitting it out. "It tastes like Gaia's kiss, no thanks," he said before declaring. "I swear I'll get taller even if it's the last thing I do."

Rosetta shakes her head in disapproval.

"Who's Gaia?" Augustus asked. Not because he's jealous. He's just curious.

"A b****."

Rosetta gasped. "Young Master Phoenix," she said disappointedly. "Okay, no desserts for you during dinner."

Phoenix looks at her in despair. "Please no!" He begs, but she doesn't budge.

"I will not tolerate you saying bad words about people," she said scolding him.

Phoenix looks to Augustus for help. But Augustus didn't look at him, he was eating his breakfast.

"Don't look at His Highness," Rosetta said, as she continued to scold him and Phoenix listens with a pout.

"I will not say any bad words anymore," he said in a childish voice.

Rosetta smiles. "I know you won't," she said. "But you still won't be getting any desserts tonight."

'Let me return to my prison!' Phoenix exclaimed in his head.

He doesn't know that Augustus was watching him now with a smile. 'Just like a little kitten.'
