Chapter 2 - Ερινι Ατηεν | Εrini Athεn

"Miss Athen, you must get ready for the dinner with Hawksley! dear, why is your door locked!"

"Sorry, Evelyn, I'm finishing this letter. Besides, I don't want to see the arrogant man now."

"What letter? Your father is going to be mad. Please don't anger your father more than he was because of last night's events."

"Fine. I'm coming. I'm coming so you can stop lecturing me, Eve."

An individual door in an elegant dim-lit hallway opened, revealing a woman with her chin up, chest out, and shoulders back. A beautiful woman at that, she's shown to have teak wood bright eyes and waving long onyx hair reaching a little past the waist. She wore a long green dress with a black corset. The woman, Erini Athen, then proceeded in silence to walk in front of Evelyn, her lady-in-waiting to be no more.

Evelyn proceeded to open a door at the end of the hallway after a left turn. Evelyn opened the door for Erini. "Please, Erini. Don't make your father madder than he already is" "Well, I'll try...maybe," expressed Erini.

"Well, here is my lovely daughter. As you have already met my daughter, you both can get more compassionately reacquainted. This way, our kingdoms could always remain in compromise"

"Why didn't I tell you, Father. She is quite the beauty. Don't you agree, Father"

"Yes, my son. You were right about the princess's beauty."

The princess, Erini, then sat on the left of her father, as her father would say, "A woman shall never be on the right hand, especially of someone with high status as me, a king." Blah, blah, blah, whatever he would say, according to the princess, she didn't care. Finally, Erini's father gave her a slight nudge underneath the table, a little sign for her to speak.

"...right, hi there king Αψηιλλεσ (Achilles)" Another nudge, "-and prince Hawksley, it's nice to meet your-" Erini paused, despising her following words, "Acquaintance."

"As for you, Princess Ερινι (Εrini), the kingdom wasn't wrong about you. You are quite a sight to behold. I can see why my son has taken a liking to you. Thank you for your honor to your kingdom." During dinner, Erini was getting increasingly frustrated due to the two king's conversation about the two younger one's future, specifically their inheritance of their children.

Prince Hawksley was making it more unbearable for Erini with his smug face staring at her the entire dinner, remembering their last conversation as if he had won. After the royal feast, Erini got up, pushing her chair with a searching creak against the expensive concrete, gladly readshortgo back to her room to complain about how much she despised her life to Evelyn, "Princess Erini, may I take you for a small walk outside in the exquisite rose maze." Prince Hawksley asked as more of a demand rather than a question. Erini continued to glare at Hawksley with a look that could kill more than his stupidity. She hadn't thought of answering him and just thought to just walk straight back to her, with Evelyn's words echoing through her mind. A glare from her father is truly what gave Hawkley a reply. As she agreed, Hawksley walked over like a "gentleman" and took an exaggerated bow and, with his hand, pulled out for her to grab his hand. Erini ignored this gesture and continued to walk towards the back double doors, whereas prince Hawksley went to follow.

"You know I still hate you with every inch of my being. You comprehend that, don't you."

"Well, isn't that a lot of inches, Princess?"

"You are an arrogant, spiteful hypocrite-"

"-Anything else. If I'm going to marry someone, I might as well marry someone whos beautiful and interesting."

"I don't want to get married, especially not to you. You, so-called a prince, only want to allow this marriage because of how it looks for you, your future. You know my father is ruthless, so you want to marry his daughter so you can be safe when you inherit your father's kingdom. Sadly, for you. My father doesn't care about me, so what makes you think that you being married to his daughter is going to stop him from the future of killing you mercilessly."

"Maybe, I have interest in you."

"What like every other young woman your age in the kingdom!"

"Fine, what can I say? I'm a lady's man. You are for looks. I will control you. I won't have a problem. I always found it weird that you were never interested, and well, what can I say that piqued my interest."

"Well, as you know. If I don't like something, I don't accept it. But, I warned you, what you give is what you'll get right back, Hawksley," after those words were being processed in Hawksley's head, Erini had walked away, her plan had its match set.
