Chapter 4 - A Mεssy Mεεting

"I don't care. FIND HER!"

"Were sorry, King Athen. But there is no sent for the dogs to pick up. It's like she's never existed."

"What kind of guards are you?! What if she finds out in the real world. Can she even make it in the real world?! I want her dead or alive!"

"But, your majesty. She's still your dua-"

"Not another word. Do your job!"

"Yes, King Athen."

- Πέντε ώρες αργότερα / Five hours later -

"So he's sent his whole guard force, well…I'm up for a challenge," Said Erini to no one in particular while leaving the woods to find a marketplace, a village to be specific. Erini then found a small armor shop and entered it with a slight bell echoing throughout the shop showing a customer had entered. "Excuse me?" Says the shop owner to Erini, "Hi there, sir; I was wondering if you happen to have black onyx arrows?" "Did you read the sign?" Erini turned to the sign reading Berg's Armor.

"Well, Sir, your shop sign says Berg's Armor. If I am not mistaken"

"Well, Miss, you are supposed to read the rules."

"Sorry, and what rules may those be because I don't see to find a sign for that, Sir" the conversation slowly headed to a more controversial side.

"The sign below says clearly. No women allowed. Please leave my shop before I call the royal guards. I have the right to refuse service to anyone."

The door to the shop opens to reveal a man standing at a tall 6 feet. He had a black mask hiding his face, a black hood, and some metallic armor placed on top. The armor was gorgeously painted in some places, pieces of onyx surrounded by gold, not the kind to be overly blinding but in the best of sites to show some design but not give themselves away when in a fight.

"Hi there, Sir. May I have a dagger? One of the best you got!"

"Yes. I have two of the best; you may choose one. It seems you are a fairly good fighter. I might give you a little discount if you make a small deal with me. You give me protection when I may need it."

"Sorry, I'll pay in full. I don't tend to make deals, especially for those I have just met."

"Your los-"

"I happen to be here still. What is the difference between how a man can fight and what a woman shall do amid a fight? We can fight for what we believe just as well as men and even better. I deserve the right to receive the arrows I am looking for to provide my safety!"

Erini was getting quite irritated. Although she knew how females were viewed when they were not royalty, Erini was Erini. The tall man turned, "Who said that?" He looked down a little bit, "oh, well, didn't you read the sign, miss? It clearly says he has the right to refuse service to anyone and no women allowed to proceed into his rightful shop."

"Who cares! This is none of your business, so I may kindly ask you to butt out. This isn't how people should be treated."

"Well, maybe you should stop being a brat and learn that the world isn't filled with kind people who will help you. If he has the right to refuse service, give up already."

"A brat? You don't know how much I understand the pain of injustice, but it seems that you don't care very much for standards, Giant."

Ernini started walking towards the door while the man looked at her, secretly hiding his quite intrigued features to their argument. It seems someone else finds irritating her quite amusing.

The man bought the onyx dagger, opened the door, and walked up to Erini, who seemed to be walking behind the shops rather than continuing on the marketplace road.

"If you went through such injustice, what is this injustice you speak of, miss?"

"-Athen, we are not in the first name speaking. I don't know who you are, but I already hate you. Go find someone else to bother."

"The names Keiren. Those I am close to calling me ."

"as I said, get the midst, and I bid you a farewell."

Erini started to walk faster to avoid him and not draw attention to herself, but once again, Kei continued, "You also seemed to be in trouble; what trouble may this that you need to buy a series of dangerous arrows to assure your safety-" Erini had grabbed him and dragged him into the forest behind the village marketplace. "Shut up," Erini said in a very calm voice, then pointed to the kingdom's guards, seemingly searching for something they've lost. "Wait-" Erini glared at him as a sign to 'shut up.' The guards walked by and went into every marketplace shop, asking questions. "Ok, so they were closer than I thought. I have to go, now!" Erini said in a very frantic state.

"Wait, you are running from the king? As in king…oh king Athen, you are Princess Run, the Princess Erini. The same one that left that moron, Prince Hawksley, to finally get what he dese-"

"I'm not a princess anymore. I've run away from that life, and at least it's nice to know I am not the only one that views Hawksley as the kingdom's primary idiot."

"I have one question to ask you. Answer truthfully. Are you against the kingdom?"

"What."

"Are you against your Father, the king? Are you against his ruling? Are you against the kingdom?" Kei asked very seriously, his voice deeper, getting very defensive. "Well, what do you think? I ran away. I hate my Father. He rules over nothing but an army. He has no respect. He's a Lia-" "Ok, Ok. I got the message. You are not the only one. Trust me on this. Follow me."

'Are you crazy," Erini stated as more than a fact. "No, I am not crazy. I, along with my close ally and others, are against the King, your Father. Do you even know the things your father has done?" Kei kept on following Erini through the woods slowly not to cause suspicions.

"He is not my Father. Never was he oppressed me ever since I was young. My grandfather was the only one that cared."

"Then trust me on this when I say your grandfather was helping our allies to get information on your father. On the inside. Your fath- sorry, the king was the one that killed your grandfather. No one knows your father is dead but the allies, and you know this. So, if I never knew your grandfather, how would I know of his death. That he never had a death bed. But he was found not breathing within the Rose Thorne Maze, returned to the grave."

"You are right. A guard has been killed for trying to mention it in the castle of the king. I shall help you take down my father. As a seal to this contract, you ensure that once it is done. I will live in peace."

"I can assure you. I will ensure no harm will come to you during this time and for you to have made this seal."
