The interior of the Litch Bain wasn't anything impressive. You'd think that a dungeon known to have been made by a renowned Litch, "said to be as powerful as the titans of ancient"-or whatever that meant, would be more dangerous. The dark, cramped corridors of the underground construction revealed only skeletons, one at a time, with a level so mediocre that it didn't ever reach twenty.
"Apparently, they should have been in hordes, and level forty ones at that, or at least that is how they were in the past..."- Maxwell was certainly enthralled by the dungeon, but why so?
'In the past? What happened then? Is the undead Litch.... getting older?'
"Ha, good one, but no. The elders say that around twenty years ago, a ,,local hero" went in the dungeon to slay the Litch, but never returned"-Kiyoshi was confused. Could Litches get injured in this world? Weren't they supposed to be immortal?
'But how...'
"Hey, cut the nerd shit! I think I'll go senile if I hear any more explanations in this trip!"
"I'm sorry Andi, but some people actually want to learn something. If you weren't so pre-occupied in bitchi..."
("Fuck, since when was he such a nerd head?")- Andromitus was furious at this new Maxwell. Ten years since he met him and not one time did he show interest in books.("Wasn't he all about drugs before?"). Who did this to his foolish friend? Ever since he went to that awful library... wait a second...
"Fuck... is that bitch, Amelia, still there?"
"What?"
"Don't joke with me! That nut job librarian who's all about how ,,she came from another world"! You actually wasted your time with her...."
"The hell you called her! A bitch!"
"Yeah! Don't ya' know how she tried to hit on a prince < "Hey! take that back!" "Only if you..."-A fist hit Andromitus right in the jaw. Though he tried to counter it and his Maxwell himself, he found out that that certain individual was meters apart. Then who hit him? Looking around, neither William, nor 'Kain' could have hit him and return to their position... strange... Kiyoshi was taken aback by the reveal. Another person from his world? Was being isekaied so common? This was definitely something he should confirm later. ... ... ... After a long walk that was not particularly eventful, considering their strength, they finally arrived at the unexplored part of the dungeon. The place where ,,the past hero" disappeared. Before them stood the door of the first room. It was an enormous gate, looking sealed by modern equipment. Kiyoshi was never a technical guru, but the contrast between the gate's bolts and the flamed part gave the ,,technique" away rather easily. Why had modern equipment been used? He couldn't tell the point. "So... how do we open this, leader?" "Ah, yes, we don't" 'What? Then how do we enter?'- Had Jarod gotten stupid? Kiyoshi knew that there was in the first place no way to unseal the door without having themselves modern equipment. "We don't open the door. The guild deemed that too hard. Instead, well blow up a part of the wall beside it, basically making our own door" "And how do we do that boss? I ain't seeing no fire wizard here" "Tha... do I really have to spell everything? Just stand back and let me work on this." Jarod went to the side of the room's wall and took an object, around the size of a lunchbox, out of his backpack. Now that Kiyoshi looked, the particular part of the wall were Jarod placed the object looked like it was weakened by someone else. But why leave it up to them to blow up the rest? Shouldn't have that person finished the job? "In three... two... one..."-A loud bang was heard. As the boys didn't think to take a safe distance, they were thrown across the nearby walls. "Right... no one is dead? Let's go in then" The difference between the unexplored part and the rest of the dungeon was vey stark. Whereas one place emanated a horrible smell, looking just as tunnels digged in a mountain(which they were), the other had a rare kind of radiance, looking more like the property of a noble. No enemies appeared to be in the room, though the long corridor it connected to was certain to bring dangers. "So... can we lot now, or..." "After, didn't I tell you back at the camp!"-And he smacked Andromitus lightly in the head with the cane. "No... you didn't!" "Whatever, let's go" "I'll go first"-All were taken by surprise by William's boldness, or at least the fact that he talked in the first place. The corridor, though lighted up with chandeliers full of oil lamps and much bigger than the ones from the outer perimeter of the dungeon, left a sense of ambush, as if enemies could appear from all the nooks and crannies left darkened. It had an elegant atmosphere, with a lavender scent being barely noticeable. "So you are the ones who dare disturb lord Cambell..."-A voice, feminine in nature, was heard in front of them. Even though she stood right under a chandelier, the figure seen was completely black, almost looking like a shadow. Kiyoshi was the first to realize the impending dander and hastely approached the unknown figure. He lunched one of his spare knives at her, thinking of a way to figure out the abilities she possessed, and then lunged at her. Something was strange. The knife was slow, strangely slow. Even he was slow, as he still didn't hit her.... what was happening. "Twenty years since his honor took pity on this world to train new heroes and instead of greetings, of gifts... They send assassins?!"- before Kiyoshi realized, his hand had been amputated. Blood started pouring from the now giant absence of skin. Pain surged through his body, suffering that he had never felt in his life. Wasn't he strong?! What level was she exactly? "Pests!... horrible pests!..." "Kain!"- Jarod had a look of distraught, as if he had never seen a sight like this. How easy were his request from the past? The rest of the party took position before the shadow, who now revealed herself to be an elf. "An elf?" "Huh?" "This is enough, invaders. Not one more step on this holy ground!"-Kiyoshi was now sure that there was an anomaly involved. All around the elf, time seemed to slow. Though his observation skills partially off-seted the change in speed, even he was having a hard time keeping track of this dreadful enemy. His party members, though posing a valiant effort, stood no chance against the girl. Their strikes didn't land. Their blocks only met air. Not even a minute in this slowed down environment and they were full of cuts. Kiyoshi knew that he had only one chance if he were to defeat the elf. He would have to use his taboo skill, even if it got revealed to the other boys.
