○Entry. 32.
Tomorrow everything is going to start. All will be different. I was the Hero summoned into this world to save it from the terrible threat that is the Demon King. This was some responsibility.... no, this was a whole bundle of pressure.
How was I supposed to fight off the ,,apparent" hordes of demons that soared the north? I was certainly stronger than the average swordsman, but I possessed no cheat-like skill!
There was another matter....
*
"You remember your training right?"
"Yes sir!"
"Then hit it with all you've got!"
"Yes sir!"- Part of the training we have done back at the dorms, beside weapon handling, magic familiarity and basic knowledge, was getting accustomed with killing. Of course, not people!
Swordmaster Halbert was an exceptional man, full of spirit and patriotism. I could hear his speeches any day and still be impress by how much motivation he has.
Well, considering how much he postponed for us to actually get levels, I would say that he is also a little dim. He at least requested for wagons of goblins to be brought over as to not leave the Academy at level one. This was when I discovered a weird quirk about my class.
*Acquired sword slash lv.1
While I was striking the prepared goblins, skills started to appear and level up.
*Acquired sword lunge lv.1
Curious, they let me kill more and more, in different situations, up to the point where new skills wouldn't appear. At the end of it all I ended up with about two dozen skills, though all being sword moves.

This was about right. Though I neither have the holy sword, nor do I understand this ,,aura" skill, by what I know from the Academy, I have very high stats, at least for my level.
Then I collapsed onto the bed. Guess I was more tired than I thought.
Tomorrow is going to be a big day.
Oh, right, I will also meet her again. I would have never imagined to see a Goth girl in another world...
Right...
Right...
When I woke up the sun had already long plastered itself on the sky. I changed into the light armor I received from the Swordmaster and started to go towards the place where we agreed to meet, the Guild's Inn.
Now finally wearing the armored plates, I can understand why he praised it's manufacturer so much. This Mithril armor was much more flexible and comfortable than the mass-produced practice one I was used to. Dwarven hands sure are something different.
Many attractive women passed me while I was walking, most also in light armor, though not one so expensive such as mine.
They all looked at me, some even with lustful eyes, and while I want to think it is because of my looks, it was probably due to the fortune I was appearing to have. Well, Sir Halbert did warn me about this...
It still hurts...
I found my long known friends eating at a table in the middle of the Inn. Fumiko was trying to spark a conversation, though the boy before her seemed more interested in the book he was holding rather than her. The nerve Akira has....
I suppose it does make me jealous.
"Oh, you two are eating already"
"Ah, the sleepy bird came!" She said while glancing at me. Fumiko really knew how to make me blush. It didn't help that Akira also nodded at her statement.
"Right..." so I sat down. I was a little concerned, but luckily, the breakfast here is comparable to the ones we got at the academy.
Later we went back to the reception area. Akira talked.
The conversation they had took some time... what were they talking about, I wonder. In the end, he returned with our first mission, a goblin extermination request four miles from here.
Being somewhat close to San Petro, we didn't need a carriage, though it also meant it would take almost a whole day of walking.
This was not what I envisioned a first mission to be.
"Alright, I'm done" Fumiko put her hands up in defeat.
At about half the distance needed, Akira and Fumiko wanted to call it quits. I suppose that not having a strength enhancer like me made it even more unbearable.
"It's not that long left."
Sight..."As if. My feet will die before I reach those goblins."
"No, they won't" She was really silly...
"There aren't even any rabbits to see nor birds to hear. This forest is empty"
Now that I think about it, these surroundings were unusually devoid of life, but that was probably due to the human presence.... though....
"Come on, I now you two can make it!" They both nodded and visibly agreed by starting to walk again. Was I always so charismatic?

The goblins base was very straight-forward. It was a cave that lead into a mountain. At it's entrance were two sentries, well, in my mind just starter mobs.
"So who will make the first attack" I was hesitant. It was a first, after all.
"Me, obviously" I expected him to take i initiative. He was always a bull-head.
"You should save your mana for the boss Aki" He glanced between her and me, finally setting his sight on a rectangular rock five feet before him.
"F-fine....-he waved his hand at me- then go Akio..."
"Hey, I'm not a Pokemon!"
"Whatever"
I waited a bit.

Now that I look, these ,,guards" really weren't even paying attention. I looked at one of them and said:

"Weak, huh..."
So I went in.
I lunged at the first, just barely not plunging into his neck enough to kill him.
The other reacted by trying to hit me with his wooden bat, but he was slow.
Too slow...
I countered with a slash of my own and this time managed ti kill him. With one dead and another bleeding on the floor, we made our way inside the cave.
Three more came out to greet us, though I made short work of them.
*Sword slash leveled up★
At the end of the entrance tunnel was a ,,gate" of sorts, made out of cloth.
"Can you see what's behind?"
"What do you take me for? I only have elemental magic."
Cool. I ran head first through the cloth, prepared to fight, but the sight before me wasn't anything like that. There were sick goblins... laying on dirty rags on the floor. One that looked like a shaman came before me and started to talk in a weird language.

"What are you waiting for? Kill her already."
"What?"
These... didn't appear as fighting combatants, but they were monsters... weren't they?
"I... where is Fumiko"
"Outside,... but
how will you kill demons if you hesitate so much with goblins?"
"..."
Gosh... I should have been the hero!" I knew what he was going to do...
"Wait!!"
"If you care so much, then kill them yourself!"
"I... can't. Something doesn't let me..."
"Yeah right." he launched a fireball at the shaman. By the time she realized, it was already too late. The only sound that could be heard was burning flesh, and even though she tried to cast a curse onto him, her words were cut short by the zap of a lighting bolt.
"No! Stop!"
"This is a Guild request to eliminate the enemies of mankind Akio, not a pussy moral dillema. If they say kill, then you kill." He started burning the ones laying down.
My hurt stung. It wasn't like anything I had ever felt before. It not like I was alright with what he was doing,...
But why does it hurt so much!!

The fair judge... wait a minute...

"Now I want you all to pay attention to this part, because it tackles the foundation of our world.
In Alvia, there are three Founder Godessess, them being Maria, Catrina and Diana. There is also Łūđø, the heretical patron of the Demons, though he is only a barbarian, like the invaders who worship him.
In any case, let us start with Catrina, The fair Judge. She is a paragon of virtue, punishing those who break her codes of...

The title that I have...now I understand... it makes me more powerful, but only on the condition that I hold a ,,good" morality. Fuck...
This could get me killed.
Oh well, I at least have to get away from here, or risk my heart stop on me.
When I was about to step back in the former tunnel a big stomp was heard from before me.
Looking there I saw that a very big goblin, probably their leader, appeared in front of Akira.
Wait, he is a wizard...
"Akira! Run!"
"And let you have the xp, as if!" He took the time he could have used getting away just to say something stupid.
"Grr gahh!"
The Hobgoblim made a cleave with his giant axe, managing to dismember Akira of one of his arms. He picked it up and started chomping on it.
"Shit!"

I went towards it and used both my arms to target his leg while he was still busy snacking. An immobile target would be easy prey for us.
My cut landed perfectly, though his movement didn't seem affected at all. Do monsters have differently placed muscles? Wait, do they even have muscles?
Oh! Now's not the time brain!
"Wait, what happened?" it looked like Fumiko got back from whatever she was doing outside.
"Heal Akira! He will die at this rate" Taking a glance at him, she was visibly in terror. After all, the monster had just dismembered her team mate.
"What the fuck!"
I was technically alone now. With Fumiko using all her current power to stop the bleeding, I was left to fight the Hobgoblin alone.
He acted first. In a relay of actions I could barely see, he ran towards me while dragging his axe on the ground, to then make a strange angle and launched it with all his strength.
Even with Judgement on my side, I was too slow to dodge it. Still, blocking what I could, I was sent up to the end of the room, stopped only by hitting the cave's walls.
I realized I couldn't move my feet. My spine had probably been broken somewhere in the middle. But how was get so strong? His stats certainly didn't reflect his power...or...was it that he took me by surprise?
In any case...
Was this the end?
Then I saw something. Right before me was one of the last goblin survivors. Though injured himself, he looked better dressed than the others and had a knife in hand. It was admirable in a way, that he still fought.
I slashed him while he was trying to stab my chest, effectively beheading the goblin. Then I saw...
*Level up!
My whole body began to twist and turn. Though not painful, it certainly felt very wierd. When I realized it was over, I had been fully healed....
So this is the Hero's ability.
Handy...
I got back to the Hobgoblin to see that it was engaged in a terrible struggle against Akira. Though managing to cleave multiple chunks of the Hobgoblin's body, even at these distance I could see that he was out of mana.
So I pressed my attack, surprising the monster with the fact that I was still alive, but it was already too late, for I had slashed his neck.
"Hey! That was my kill!" Akira, now with his left hand back, was spitting bullshit as always.
The saintess was certainly reliable.
After forcing Akira to do a group high-five to celebrate our first completed mission, we took our time to look around.
There was nothing of value in the cave, so after checking that they were all dead, we went back.
Tired from the long trip, we all went directly to our rooms, not even bothering to eat something.
That night I slept very soundly.
