I woke up the next morning only to find myself on the floor still wearing the armor from yesterday. So I really was that tired...
....
We got a commission from a local Trader to help him save his daughter, who was kidnapped by bandits while they were ambushed in the empty forest.
I didn't understand why he didn't take his problem to the Garrison, especially considering how well known the Commander's son is. Even I heard, while only being in this city for a night,
But I suppose that experience is experience. No reason to deny it.
We found their base quite easely, after all, the forest is empty.
You'd think they were pre-historic barbarians as they managed to build an entire encampment.
No matter how rugged and rushed, creating something so large not even three miles from San Petro... sure is something.
The vanguards weren't anything amazing. I hear that ever since some solo nerd Kain defeated the ,,One-eyed Dragon" a month ago, the criminals aren't what they used to.

Was the difference between them that big?
"Fuck!
Wait a damn moment Akio!"
"Why?"
"Haa!?
So you can get all the xp?"
"Oh.. stop it Akira.... haah...."
"Can't we rest for a moment?"
"No, that girl could be raped any moment. Could you live with that, Fumiko?"
"I... no, of course not!"
It was weird. Everything about this camp. How could there be such a mass of bandits right near the city where the "Eagle-eyed Count lived".
Well, considering that he didn't see them it appeared more like the lair of the blind eagle, but whatever.
In the middle of the camp laid the boss's tent.
We found the girl chained to the bed, luckily not raped, but no boss.
Akira couldn't be bothered with waiting anymore so we got back.
That night,
I saw him by accident talking with some shady guys in black outside the Guild. Well, he at least made friends.

Today we went into the forest searching for herbs.
Larique informed us that Our Guild's Apothecary ran out of a certain herd used to ,,keep vigor" that can be found in the dead forest. Oh, silly me, the empty forest.
We searched all day and found nothing. As to not look like an incompetent bunch we decided to camp out and hope that she forgets she even requested us something.
Now that I think about it, why did we get this mission?

We got into an ambush while returning to the city. A shame as we had just gotten the damn herbs by trading with a passing merchant.
Escorting him back sure was a mistake, by my damn blessing didn't let me otherwise.
The bandits were as weak as the ones from before.
It's easy to say that we got back in one piece.

I had a serious talk with Akira.
I don't know if it was because of the wine...
Probably the wine...
Anyway, we got at the inn and drank all night. Nice words and bad ones were thrown around, but I would say that it was worth it.
If not for my higher level, that lead to a higher alcohol tolerance, I would have never known why he hates me so much.
He even had a mental outburst like some three year old, but a bro hug appeared to do the trick...
I think we are friends again!

Today we went into an abandoned mansion. We didn't find anything.
Only the ghost of some long forgotten princess, self-entitled ,,Zelda", but who cares about that?
I don't.

Today we went to an orc tribe to negotiate a ceasefire.
Apparently, the region of Santa Lucia where San Petro is located has a handful of orc tribes, some scattered and others organized.
This one in particular, located on a cliff that overlooked the whole region, was responsible for raiding a lot of the south-western villages and towns.
As a show of strength, instead of sending sending a proper delegation led by the Garrison Commander's son, Primus Maximus, a renowned Swordsman of this region, they send some tipsy night newbies like us, completely unaccompanied.
If they wanted to spit, they should have used their mouths.
The negotiations obviously broke down. No matter how serene our ,,representative", Fumiko, was, we were still a balant attempt to spit on their honor.
Who knew orcs had that...
I tried to get some common ground with the chief, but he wouldn't back down with out letting blood.
It was decided that I would duel him...
For Goddesses sake...
While the orcs made space in the central area for the apparently long awaited fight(so they weren't planning to leave this peacefully anyway...), I made a sign at Akira who began preparing, then looked at my opponent and started to analyze his possible strengths and weaknesses.

Considering his level, the Orc chief didn't appear as anything amazing. I was beginning to wonder if my cheat in this world wasn't these stats...
He attacked first by releasing a ferocious scream, probably his intimidation skill. Looking back, I could see that not only my companions, but also the other orcs in the back, were paralyzed in horror.
"Long courage you have, Skinny meat!"
Me not being affected was probably due to the Hero aura, but whatever.
I stepped forward at my max speed, trying to make a cut, but the orc's abilities proved superior. Even with a giant axe, his hands were faster.
Using the fact that I had better strength to my advantage, I managed to not lose my head, but I was being pushed back.
Strike after strike, even while blocked, got me closer to the gallery of orcs.
If I didn't do something fast, this would be my end...
Killed in an unfair mission at the hands of only an orc Chief.
I was almost out of bounds, when I remembered about Akira.
"Now!"
"Ignite." The orc burst into flames. Ni matter how hard he tried to get them off him by rolling through sand, but nothing worked.
His screams didn't budge me. After all, he was a violent tyrant and a rapist. Even that stupid judge would understand.
The problem was the other orcs, who, after getting out of their confused state, swarmed us, but out of a stroke of luck, on average, they were at level ten, so compared to our twenty, not that strong.
We fought till night came.
At the end, we all stayed on the cliff, admiring the sunset.
