Hannah’s POV
I’ve suffered a hangover before, but what I’m feeling now feels like living death.
“Oh god,” Alex groans and rushes to the head of the cave for the third time. Devin is already hanging his head over the ledge, getting sick himself.
All morning we have been taking turns with the ledge, losing whatever food we managed to eat last night.
Devin is the worst of us all, with Alex not far behind. Luke is definitely sick but manages to keep the content of his stomach inside for the most part.
I was very ill when I woke up. But after I threw up the first time, only this splitting headache remained.
I drop down beside Luke and hand him the water we’ve gathered. He waves it off, but I insist.
“Why aren’t you as sick as us?” he asks, sipping the water, unsure if his stomach will like it.
“I don’t. I was just as bad as them this morning,” I say, nodding my head over toward Alex and Devin. Though he is sicker than her, he’s rubbing her back tenderly.
