Chapter 28 - Chapter 29

"Gentlemen here I stand in front of you confused," Aleister said while sitting down "you see I've called you here as I require a different set of eyes, there is something in this picture that is vexing".

"Maybe it's the weeds or those bushes aren't properly cut, Mr. Findo what is it you believe to be wrong with this picture," Aleister asked the cowering man.

"Well, y-y-y-our m-ma-jesty y-our palace".

"Ahh yes of course the palace, there it is" Aleister mocked while walking to the head of royal intelligence "and you… how the fuck… was this allowed" Aleister continued while waving around a stack of papers stating a whole private legion of soldiers attacked the prison "Like am I being unreasonable, It is 40 thousand people!! And two Cruisers, Where did he get that!!!".

yelling Aleister threw the stack of paper behind him and drew his sword slicing a giant wedge of skull off of the man's head "You just got a promotion, I don't care how many laws you break, how much money is required, Find. My. Brother. After you do tell this wonderful gentleman who has yet to disappoint".

"Well, what are you waiting for?" Aleister asked the new head of royal intelligence standing there in shock, after the man started to almost run down to a transport to complete his new mission Aleister turned around and kicked the feet from under the Shádsals director making him land mere inches from the sliced off a chunk of skull "You see that, that's strike two next time make sure you keep a tighter hand on the information of the prison".

"Commander of the unforgiven" Aleister shouted at a group of armored soldiers "Take this man and discuss a new strategy to protect the new prison with your legion after you are done rejoin the other commanders for a meeting".

Walking up was a woman dawning pure white armor with a black painted symbol of a hand on her left breast plate "Of course your majesty, let us go leach".

Turning to a butler who had a draped wooden platter in his hand Aleister motioned for him to come over here, pulling the drape off it revealed a kinetic handgun straight from the armory. Admiring the craftsmen ship he nodded before turning around and shooting the shielding director in the face, whom quickly fell over and earned another seven bullets in his chest.

"Whew" Aleister breathed out before throwing the gun behind him "Alright, now for the reason I've called you, strike my brother's name from all records stating him as anything but a criminal, strip all titles and achievements from the record and redistribute them to the dead, from now on Braeden shall be known as Braeden the nameless, Braeden the bastard, and Braeden the animal breeder".

"Admiral we are going to have to push back the invasion, first we find the weasel when the new guy finds out where he is, blockade the planet, and make sure nothing gets off the world from the smallest fighter to the largest of ships".

"Your grace" Admiral Noldoz bowed and began to leave.

"Finally you all, The Burning Legion, The Star Break and Star Fall Legions, The Prime, The Crimson, The Saint, The Hellfire, The Titan, and The Hopeless Legions have been training for five years, now it's time for you to bloody your weapons in battle, as your king I command you to follow Admiral Noldoz to the traitor who dares destroy the royal families seat of power" he finished while pointing to the collapsing palace earning a hard and stiff salute from the nine commanders.

"Your majesty, she is now in stable condition" the butler that held the platter walked up and notified the king, platter less "good".

Aleister then dismissed the commanders and walked through a side entrance to the palace infirmary, walking into the infirmary a woman could be seen with a tube down her throat and an IV strapped to her left arm.

Looking at one of the royal physicians he told them to make sure she doesn't die before taking another cursory glance at the injured woman and then he left.

Walking out of the palace Aleister on purpose chose the front entrance even at the strong recommendation of the Guard Commander at the fear of any potential collapse, Thankfully for the king 1,000 Kg of thousand-year-old rock didn't fall on his head, Unfortunately upon bending over and picking up a brick and inspecting it, instantly a picture of a beautiful painting spanning an uncollapsed undamaged roof was rendered in Aleister's mind, it was the scene of Grondo Godfrey The Great sitting on a pile of copper and silver crowns while he was placing a crystal embedded golden shining crown on his head– it was the moment that the other tribes conceded and for the first time a Godfrey could dare call himself the king of all known.

"Damn it!!!" Aleister yelled for the last time, before throwing the collapsed piece of rock at the backside of the entry, the surrounding guards found themselves both confused and terrified as the sight of the normally cool as a cucumber King being this furious was a very new experience.

While the most infuriating thing about the whole event was obviously the palace being destroyed, there were actually many reasons for the fury being obviously the palace but also the fact that he would have to kill his brother, at the pure incompetence shown by people he genuinely trusted that they would do their jobs, lastly at his own incompetence– why did he not push for a greater batch of the new royal guard, why did he not push for greater recruitment into the intelligence divisions, why did he not push for the greater defense of the most important prison in the whole kingdom, all of these thoughts were swimming around The Staunch Aleister's mind who was a firm believer that he was the greatest being to exist, a belief that was starting to bleed into the Earthling Aleister as well.

Searing the image of the beautiful painting being broken, Aleister subconsciously equated it to the fall of his kingdom, which snowballed into a slight decrease of his ego– which could be seen for kilometers. While Aleister may curse his brother now, eventually he would be thanking what he knew not.
