Chapter 42
I had gone to my room earlier to change into a velvet gown that had slits on each side, it was one of the gowns that defined my curves and one that also elevated my confidence..... almost everyone was already sitted round the dinning table. But I couldn't find Mr Drey, he was not at the table, I used my eyes to search for him around the house, but I couldn't find him.
Guests were trooping in by this time, I could see Drey's mother and father welcoming the guests. from their looks, these were important business men and women, the kinds that controls the economic systems.... It wasn't difficult for me to recognize them as I've been privileged to meet and work with people like them when I was still running my companies.
I heaved a sigh as I sipped my glass of wine, I was watching each guest as they entered... just then, I saw the man I had been looking for, a smile curved up my lips my heart fluttered, as I watched him walk towards my direction. He was looking so handsome, dressed in a sea blue tuxedo with a gorgeous smile plastered on his face.....he was beautiful. He made his way towards me, but was quickly stopped by his mother who was now introducing him to one of the guests.... I watched as the man shaked Mr Drey gingerly with a big smile on his face.
The formalities went on for another twenty minutes. Then finally the announcement was made, Mr Drey's brother was finally here, we all stood up to welcome him with a clapping ovation.
