" Do you know who's his girlfriend?" " No I don't" Shyla replied. I swallowed hard and said "It's Anderlin my father's adopted daughter" " oh my goodness" Shyla exclaimed.." what on Earth is she doing there!?" " I don't know, I was shocked to see her". I took a deep breath as I stood up from the bed and walked to the window " Shyla all the painful memories kept rushing back immediately I saw, I don't know what to do Shyla I'm so confused" I said. " You have to face her Arielle, that's what you have to do" " Arielle you can't keep running away from your past, face your fears".
After speaking with Anderlin on the phone I gathered a little courage, I decided to take my bath and go downstairs to have breakfast instead of eating in my room. I showered, got dressed, combed my hair and went to join the family for breakfast.
As I got to the dinning table everyone was already seated with several dishes surrounding the table. I took my steps slowly as I swallowed hard, I could feel all eyes looking at me... I looked from Drey's mother who gave me a warm smile, to Drey's father who was also smiling brightly at me, then my eyes fell on Drey's brother who stared at me like I was a some toast he wanted to devour. I quickly shifted my gaze and my eyes fell on Anderlin...we stared at each other for quite some time, she was looking at me with disgust and hatred.. our staring contest was broken off by Drey who came to help me sit on my seat.
