Tears began to flow down my cheeks, I quickly
ran upstairs and lock myself up in my room. I didn't know why fate would let our paths cross again like this... I gently removed my gown as I stared blankly into the mirror all I could think about were the humiliations my mum and I passed through back in my father's house.
I remembered a day I was coming back from school, as I walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water I heard someone sobbing quietly... I traced the sound to the store and opened it, that was when I saw my mom she was seriously sobbing " mum why are you crying"? I had asked as I wrapped my hands around her " my darling it's nothing" she said as she tried to wipe the tears from her eyes. Anderlin had been disrespectful to my mom that day and my mom only told her not to behave rudely to elders instead of listening Anderlin started crying on top of her voice which attracted the attention of her mother and my father...she told them that my mom beat her, before mom could say a word my father slapped her across the face and insulted her telling her she was nothing but a mere maid.
As these memories came back it made my heart ache badly, Anderlin and her mother always made things worse for us, they made living in my father's house hell. I walked slowly into the bathroom and entered the tub... I washed my body and tried to forget about everything... just then I heard a knock on the door, at first I wanted to ignore but then I heard Drey's voice.
