Chapter 33 - Techniques

As the two disciples were talking, Xu Yue felt a need to do something.

Remembering all of the times she has had her cheeks pinched by her senior sister, Xu Yue felt a deep desire to have revenge.

She then started furiously pinching her senior sister's face.

"Junior sister, stop!" said Liang Xiaoling before disappearing from next to Xu Yue.

"Alright, I will stop" said Xu Yue, a smile appearing on her face. Seeing her senior sister run away made Xu Yue stop trying to bully her.

Liang Xiaoling reappeared. Unlike her dignified appearance from before, she now looked slightly disheveled. Her cheeks were also slightly red.

Looking at her smiling junior sister, Liang Xiaoling realized what Feng Shuchun had felt before.

"I have failed in teaching my junior sister and I will now suffer the consequences" realized Liang Xiaoling.

Now that Xu Yue was this old, trying to make her obedient would be almost impossible.

A while later, Xu Yue exited her senior sister's cave abode.

"Senior sister has gotten better at it" thought Xu Yue as she used her hands to feel her newly brushed hair.

While she was doing this, Xu Yue was walking towards her master's cave abode. After she had reached it, he called out to her master.

A moment later, she found herself in her master's cave abode.

"Master" Xu Yue exclaimed as she saw Feng Shuchun.

"Yue'er" said Feng Shuchun lightly as she felt Xu Yue hug her. Looking at her growing disciple made her feel a large feeling of melancholy, remembering the time when she was Xu Yue's age.

A small smile appeared on her face as she thought about that period of time. Back then she had been hailed as the most talented preparatory disciple in one hundred thousand years, and had been accepted as a disciple of one of the elders.

A sigh came out of her mouth as she thought of her master.

Looking at Xu Yue made the sadness in her heart disappear.

"You shouldn't be sad, master" said Xu Yue as she looked at her master.

"I'm not sad, I just remembered the past" said Feng Shuchun as she took her disciple tighter in her embrace.

Xu Yue knew her master did not want to talk about it, so she did not press on and changed the subject.

"Master, the improvement speed of my swordsmanship has slowed down quite a bit. Is there anything I can do to speed it up?" asked Xu Yue. She already had several ideas for what to do, but asking her master seemed quite beneficial.

"Right now, you are training in the Origin Sword Style, right?" asked Feng Shuchun.

"Yes, master" said Xu Yue.

"As ancestor created the Origin Sword Style, he did not want his juniors to truly rely on it, as such he transformed it into the ultimate foundational sword technique "

"No matter in which direction you want to change it, it is possible to do so, the fact that the Style manages to do such a thing while being extremely strong made it almost perfect" continued Feng Shuchun.

"Right now you have to begin training in other sword techniques. You do not have to try to integrate them into your own, just master them, this will benefit your swordsmanship massively" said Feng Shuchun.

After a few more minutes of talking, Xu Yue hurried back to her cave abode. The moment she entered, she looked in her spatial bag, took out an earth-grade technique, and went to the training ground.

Ten days later,

"Finally, Grand Completion," mumbled Xu Yue as she used the swordsmanship she had just mastered.

It took her around Ten days for her to reach Grand Completion, much faster than back in the trial padoga.

After this, day after day, Xu Yue continued practicing all sorts of sword techniques from her spatial bag. She started becoming obsessed with it would paint for around thirty minutes and sleep for around an hour, all other time would be used to train her swordsmanship.

After two and a half years,

"Finished them," mumbled Xu Yue under her breath as she looked at the eight hundred Earth-ranked sword techniques in her spatial bag.

She had finally managed to master them all. At first, it took ten days for one technique, but as her mastery of the sword grew, the speed at which she managed to comprehend them grew as well.

Even though her cultivation was the same as two years ago, Xu Yue felt like she could defeat her past self easily.

As she chose the most difficult method to reach the Soul Enlightenment realm, Xu Yue's realm stagnated for a bit.

There are three ways to reach the Soul Enlightenment Realm.

The first way is to use a special herb or pill. Reaching the Soul Enlightenment realm this way will bring the least benefits to the cultivator.

The second way is to use a special technique created to help search for the soul.

The third way, and the one that is most beneficial to the cultivator, is enlightenment. This is where the name of the realm came from.

As a cultivator reaches the peak of the Foundation Establishment realm, he can be enlightened on the soul. This will help the cultivator instantly reach the Soul Enlightenment realm. The benefits of using this method are endless. Not only will the power of the soul be increased, but this method can also increase one's comprehension ability.

The moment Xu Yue heard of the three methods, she did not even consider using the other two, as such, her cultivation stood in place.

"Let's begin with the heaven-ranked ones then" mumbled Xu Yue.

As she had comprehended all of the earth-ranked techniques that she had in her possession, Xu Yue then began comprehending the heaven-ranked ones.

Two months later,

Looking at her disciple, Feng Shuchun was shocked, she went back to her cave abode to calm down.

Xu Yue had done something monstrous. If people were to hear of this, they might wonder if she was a reincarnated expert. Even though she could not use it, she had managed to master a Heaven-ranked technique in around two months.

The reason she could use the Origin Sword style and not this technique was because the Origin Sword style was an Immortal ranked technique with the strength of a Peak Heaven ranked one. It was created this way so that any disciple of the sect, no matter their cultivation, could use it.

This was the reason it was considered the ultimate foundational technique.
