I quickly got out of the hospital bed and ran to find that paramedic so that I could ask him about that thing he told me caused my mum's death. "What did you say about the cause of my mum's death?" I asked. "Jeez. The police are investigating your house so just talk to them. Stop bothering me during my lunch break," he said. I was really holdind back the urge to punch him.
I walked away and went to see my mum's body again. "Mum, does Evan really not exist? Was I imagining that I had a sibling all this time? Am I really an only child? Am I really insane?"I asked. I had never felt so horrible my entire life.
It had really been the worst day of my life. I walked down the hall of the hospital feeling so sick of my life. I was ready to die. I left the hospital and went to The Lonely River's bridge. I stared at the river flowing below and I realized I really was alone in the world. I listened to my mum's voicemail and I realized I was a stupid rude and awful person. I climbed the railing and stood at the top of it.
People started to stare at me and tell me things like 'Don't kill yourself!' or 'I am sure you have bright future ahead of you!' I turned to them. I know if they had the same day as me they wouldn't be stopping me. I didn't have the energy to say anything so I just turned around started to lean forward. The suddenly I felt someone grab my hand and pull me backwards.
I land on the ground and looked up furiously and saw Ahmya, Mako, Sana, Tana and Chikao staring down at me. "Let's go," Ahmya said and they started walking and I reluctantly followed they. Once we were far enough I asked furiously, "Why would you interfere?"
"Shouldn't you be thanking us for saving you life?" Tana asked. "Why would I thank you for interfering with my business?" I asked. "Do you even know how it feels like to die!" Chikao screamed. It was my first time hearing him shout so he must've been really upset. They all looked really upset in fact.
"Have you ever died?" I asked sarcastically. "Just go and kill yourself, but who will take care of your mother's funeral,"Mako asked. I couldn't believe Mako said that. I stared at them they had only made my day worse. I felt like I was going to cry again, but I certainly wasn't going to do that in front of them again.
I walked away and I walked home in a daze. When I arrived I saw investigators going in and out of the house. I felt angry again I believed my mum would never kill herself. I walked towards one of the investigators who was standing there and reading something on his phone. "I don't believe my mum killed herself, she-" I said, but was interrupted by him. "She did commit suicide. We found a lot of Thallium in her room,"she said. "But-" I said, but was interrupted by him again.
"Look, she has changed staff many times it is impossible for them to have been poisoning her. And since she never went to a hospital or complained about pain rather she hid it," he said. "I-" I said, but was interrupted by another investigator who said they found a note in my mum's room.
It was written in Japanese and as soon as I read it I tore it up into tiny pieces and I threw them up in the air and the wind blew most of them away. "Hey! That could have been essential evidence!" he screamed. I didn't care. "I understand why you believe my mum committed suicide, but why are you still investigating my house can you leave now," I said.
"What did the note say?"he asked. "It's a recipe for spicy noodles," I lied. "Then why did you tear it up?" he asked. "I hated those spicy noodles," I lied again. I did my best to not look nervous. I could by the investigators' faces that they didn't believe me.
