Cathia was extremely alarmed and totally worried. Was there a commotion outside? Because she did not hear any noises. Or anything alarming.
Whatever is going on out there though, would it trickle all the way back here? To this house?. Cathia was in doubt it was something serious, however…
If it was not anything alarming why was Drew almost as white as a ghost.
"Baby please talk to me, you're scaring me." Cathia cooed as she strolls over to him. She was now dressed in a pair of blue denim jeans and white t shirt.
He was just standing there like a statue. Looking like one. A white one.
"What is going on? You look like the blood drained from your face". She reached up and stroke the side of his face.
"Baby please talk to me." Cathia pleads as she looks him in the eye, it was daunting, she was also trying to sense him.
When suddenly it was like something clicked. He quickly moved to put on his clothing and just as he was finished with the last button on his shirt the door to the house downstairs were kicked out.
Drew motions her to stay quiet and hide. But she was ready to argue.
"If someone is here they are here for me as this house is currently assigned to me, how would it look if you go answering the door?"
Drew looked at her incredulously. They are way pass that now, if this was a friendly visit he would definitely agree with her. However this was not a friendly visit.
"Baby we are way pass that now, this is not a welcoming situation, that entrance alone says it all." He rushed on quickly, by this time it was too late for any of them to go anywhere or to do anything at all as they were quickly ascended upon by Adonis himself.
They were fvcked.
Drew could not believe what was happening and that Adonis was here himself.
Moments ago he had heard a minute sound, it was like the snapping of a very thin twig. Anyone would miss it, but his senses were sharp and on point.
He didn't.
He had listened for another long moment because he was hoping that this was nothing. However if it was indeed something, movements will commence and he will begin to hear soft whispers of the mildew grass. And that sound will continue moving towards this house.
Drew's mind had easily went to the worse case scenario at that point. Truth be told, ever since this plan came to action he always feared that he would be found out before he can make his escape. That was his biggest fear. Because there were steps to this plan.
As such he immediately paled at the worse case scenario playing on loop in his mind. Adonis would not hesitate to kill him and his mate.
"Beta Drew!" Adonis drawls, his tone of voice was sickeningly calm and smooth. The features on his face screams dangerous and deadly is about to be unleashed. Eyes piercing and blazing hot.
All Adonis could see was a traitor. He also had one burning question though, since getting into Martel's mind.
What changed in Beta Drew that caused him to turn just like that? Second question was to learn the identity of the mastermind.
Adonis and Dracul had made it to the castle in fifteen minutes time and the elite squad members was already there. They had pulled Elites who were currently closest to the Castle.
Those that were probably on patrol or on an assignment and happened to be in close proximity of Castle Velia.
They were all prepped and ready with a plan mapped out and Adonis was pleased, he had also gotten word from his spy that they were still in the house.
They all quickly and quietly moved along the path leading them to that particular house on the castle grounds.
They circled the house and then a team moved in. They had kick down the front door. Hard.
A team scanned the ground floor and after confirming that it was clear Adonis had swoop in and speed vamped his way upstairs to the room they were in.
Tensions were high, the room was suffocating to everyone in the room except Adonis. He was the one oozing strength and authority. Adonis' aura was suffocating.
Power was radiating off of him, he was almost vibrating and the darkness dance around the room darkening the atmosphere.
At the same time the temperature plummeted from what it once was. All of a sudden it was giving the feel as if it was winter and they were out in the open facing down a blizzard storm.
You can see their breathe as the air leave their parted lips.
"Al Alpha, p please let me e explain," Drew stumbles to get his words out. He was nervous and full of dread, his nerves was through the roof. Mixed in with anxiety of the whole situation he was in also the coolness started to creep in and it crept in really fast.
Though given that he is a vampire it will in fact take awhile for him get to the place where he starts to feel like he is freezing to death.
As for Cathia she was staring daggers at Adonis as the blizzard storm slowly crept in and anticipating what would happen next. She was also wondering what in the hell could this be about. She was sure as hell it was not about her.
So this must be something else, she tried to relay this to her mate through their mate bond but Drew blocked her. Not wanting her in his chaotic mind right now.
"This is not what it looks like." Drew continued.
The darkness immediately moved chaotically at Drew's words.
Adonis could not believe Drew would choose to lie at a time like this. Seriously?
He pointedly and slowly let his eyes roam the room and stay a few seconds on all the destroyed furnitures and damages to the interiors and exteriors of this entire area.
His eyes just continued moving, then it stayed on one of the bed post beams that were broken off on one side, hanging off its hinges.
His eyes moved again to the drapes that were sagging on one side.
The room was a mess and Adonis believed he had made his point. However…
"Please enlighten me." Adonis managed to get out still sounding deadly calm.
Drew was clearly fidgeting, hands out almost in surrender and slowly moving up and down, while he himself slants his body in that moving motion as if gesturing Adonis to calm down. Then he suddenly felt brave enough to take a small step towards Adonis as he spoke, "She was injured and I was just checking on…."
Before he could finish that lie Adonis says, "Ezif". He'd had enough and was not about to play this game with Drew and have this traitor continue to make a fool of him.
Adonis quickly dove into Drew's mind completely ignoring Cathia.
He did not look in her direction once, though now she was frozen.
After a few moments and a few more tries Adonis realizes he cannot read Drew's mind. There was some sort of blockage.
Adonis suspects that Drew had a witch block his thoughts.
He should have taken precautions against having magic used against him at all, else he would not have been frozen right now.
Nevertheless this didn't matter to Adonis one bit, he would have to get the information some way or the other.
In the brink of death, there is a small window where one mind and body becomes free of all magic and he would be able to see into his mind as much as time would allow.
He would settle for what he can get in that moment just before he finishes him off.
But he would try something first, as it's always better to get more info if he can.
Adonis moves and effortlessly grabs Cathia in a neck lock and waves his hands releasing them from their frozen state.
Drew's eyes went wide when he came to and saw Adonis holding Cathia.
He puts his hand out and says "please I will tell you anything you want to know, just please don't hurt her."
"Why? why should I believe you? Huh? I have yet to hear the truth come out of your mouth."
His grip on Cathia tightens and Cathia moves and squirmed in discomfort as she begs Adonis to let her go. "Please don't do this Adonis. You're hurting me. Please!"
Adonis ignores her cries.
