Chapter 2 - 2) Welcome To Gotham (1)

Joker woke with a start, with the combination of gaining his memories and the searing pain on his chest he couldn't stay asleep, the two personalities blended together. A new person was made in that moment, while still cruel and unyielding, he lost his crazy personality, his head cleared and he was able to think a lot more rationality compared to before.

Looking around he realized he was in his secret base, it was a place that no one knew about except for Harley Quinn, she was the only person he trust to know where he slept. His other goons were all disposable in his eyes, which is something that didn't change, he didn't think that anyone should know where he should stay, not even Harley.

Though from the memories he got he saw how loyal she was, the woman would take a bullet for him if he asked, but he was to crazy to realize that. Though he was weirdly possessive of her, it wasn't that he loved her or anything but the fact that he made her and didn't want anyone else to have his toys.

Shaking those thoughts away he picked up the pistol that was next to him, it didn't have a brand but it was a solid black one that reminded him of a M1911. Though he could tell with just a thought that it would change into anything he thought of, the next moment it was a sniper rifle, then a Katana, then a RPG-7.

He smiled slightly at that, it was cool to actually have something like this. He had actually thought that everything was a dream, he half expected to wake up back in that dirty alley with nothing else but his dirty clothes and smelly body, which would have broken him.

As he stood his instincts took over and he immediately scanned the room, it was something from gaining the enhanced John Wick experience, he took caution in his own house. After a moment of adjusting he took off to the bathroom as planned, at the moment he wasn't in his disguise, no one would even be able to tell it was him since he was looking normal.

Joker was surprised with learning how scary good he was with face paint, the man didn't really have the scars it was just that he was so good with the face paint that he made it seem like it. Looking in the mirror he was a little surprised to see himself looking like Heath Ledger but shook it off, he looked down at the scar that was on his chest.

It was the mark of True Immortality, the scar was of a cross with a scythe wrapped around it. He ran his finger over it not feeling any pain anymore, it was now just a part of him, he sighed but since there was nothing he could do he would just endure it no matter what.

Some people wouldn't see this as a curse but it really was, he was doomed to walk the earth alone for the rest of his life, lone after everyone is dead he would still be walking the earth. Even if he got some incurable illness he would die from it then just be reborn brand new, so he would always come back the same and healthy.

He was unkillable in ever since of the world, that is truly a curse.

Sighing he ignored that for not, he picked up his new suit that he gained and put it on but left the face paint off for now, while he was lounging around he didn't want it on his face. Walking out he was about to watch the news to see if there was anything new going on but before he made it all the way in his senses went into overdrive.

"PUDDIN'!!!" A shout came making him catch the human body that rammed into him.

Joker smiled slightly while hugging her close, his body might be repulsed at the thought of touching someone or having them close like this, but from his past self he needed it. This was the first hug he had in years in either life, The Joker didn't like them and his past self never got them after he turned ten.

Harley was surprised to not be pushed or hit away and hugged him tighter sniffing his neck enjoying being in his embrace, of course the Joker didn't notice since he was just enjoying her in his embrace.

"Hello Harley. As always you seem super chipper." He drawled as he moved away from her but she followed him as he moved to the couch to take a seat.

Harley ignored that he seemed different and smiled widely, "Of course Puddin' we are finally in Gotham. The city is ours to take, that pesky Bat won't know what hit him."

Joker thought this over while nodding, although it was a mashed DC world that didn't mean he wouldn't know where to look for the Batcave, he could hit the man where it hurts. "That is true. I didn't think that we would actually be able to get this far, but seeing as no one could stop us then we will have more success." He said with a wide creepy smile.

Unlike the origins in the movies and comics they didn't meet at Arkham Asylum, instead the two had met at a different mental asylum outside of Gotham. By the time they had met though he was already crazy enough to not remember his name and want to control things, his obsession became Batman after learning about him, hence them being in Gotham.

Harley followed since he had made her fall in love with him, though he didn't truly feel the same way about him it still worked in his favor, she was his loyal follower through and through. At the moment their Goons were going around the city learning as much as possible, some were even going inside the bigger gangs to learn things.

Joker truly wasn't scared of anything, the combination of not being able to die plus being a bit crazy kept his fear deeply hidden, at the moment he truly had a fear of nothing.

"So Puddin' when are we going to rob the bank? We are running low of funds and will need to move soon if we want to get the shipment before anyone else can." Harley said while showing him a big smile and playing with her hair.

At the moment she was in tight jeans that had holes in them along with a black shirt that had some tears, her hair was colored with red/pink and blue like her usual style. She was a really beautiful woman, he couldn't understand why the Joker didn't accept her, he knew the man wasn't gay just that he had no interest in those things.

Shaking his head he responded to her, "We need to wait a little longer, let's wait until we here back from the goons. They need to bring the information we need before we move in on anything, don't want to step on any toes now do we?"

"Do you really care Puddin'?" She asked while tilting her head.

He shook his head grinning while looking at the TV, "Nope. Just want to use someone so that it will be a little easier. While it is simple for us to move and do it ourselves, why should we be the ones to do all the heavy lifting if they want to do it."

"Oh I did think of that Puddin' that would make things easier. So we are going to wait to hear back from the grunts then move in on them?" She asked while kicking off her shoes and leaning into the couch.

"Yes. We will wait for them, if they aren't back with answers by tonight then we will kill them after they come back." Joker couldn't help but let out a little laugh after making that statement.

His mind was filled with people he had already killed so he felt no remorse for killing anyone else, his mind already adapted and he knew that he was taking the Villain route no doubt. Hero's are stupid, they always set rules for themselves, he wasn't going to have rules at all.

His new life motto was, 'Do as he pleased, because no matter what he can try again if he dies.'

The only thing that he need to do was protect Harley, that possessiveness was still in him and there was another part of him that wants to protect her. He didn't know if the Suicide Squad would happen, but even if he did he would plan out anything to get her back, she was his now.

He didn't have romantic feelings for her, one cause to him they just met so it was a little weird to just accept her as anything more then a partner, and two because even with the other Joker's memories it didn't help increase any affection for her, just made him more possessive.

For now he would just go with the flow, for one he really wanted to get out of this abandoned building he was hiding out in, he didn't want to be stuck in a place where that constant dripping noise was coming from. "What is it Puddin'?" Harley asked looking at him.

She must have caught the frown on his face, "Nothing Harley, just annoyed by that constant dripping sound. When we get the money I will be moving to a better place."

She pouted before nodding, "There is nothing I can do about the noise, but a better place is fine."

He didn't say anything but watched the news, until he sat there for a straight hour watching it he didn't realize how bad of a place it really was. He could only shake his head on the inside while watching it, this place really was dangerous, he was sure that just sneezing would make someone kill him for no reason.
